RCYP, is a children's yoga program from within Kundalini yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan), also combined on the learning style of Montessori School programs. We have a teacher coming to Nepal early February 2016 and we e want to train at least 10 people, who will then be internationally recognized. We will work with them during January so they're ready for training and it's not all new and they can get the most out of it. The training will cost AUD $300
per person which I am now raising this in Australia. Radiant Child® Yoga (RCY) is a comprehensive 30 hour training program designed for anyone who is interested in teaching children yoga. Developed in 1998 by founder, Shakta Khalsa, Radiant Child Yoga was one of the first children’s yoga trainings available in the world. Radiant Child Yoga holds the vision of creating a world of peace through the union of yoga and children. RCY participants include yoga teachers of all traditions, school teachers, pediatric therapists, parents and grandparents. Previous yoga experience is helpful although not required. 30 Hour weekend training is generally Friday through Sunday, 27 in class hours, 3 at home. Certificate of completion given after at-home practice. All levels of yoga experience accepted: Novice through experienced. Approximately 50% discussion/lecture, 50% practice /experience. Course has been recognized for CECs with public schools, therapy organizations, and Yoga Alliance. Course description Levels 1-2 Guidelines for teaching children of all ages from babies to teens. Yoga songs and games that children love. Practical tips for keeping the class focused and engaged. Breathing practices/meditation with children. Using yoga sets with children. Keeping yourself centered when working with children. Powerful yoga and meditation just for you as the teacher. Time to collaborate with others to create a unique yoga presentation based on what you’ve learned in the course. Practical tools for any situation that arises when working with children. Practice conscious communication skills, such as Deep Listening and Engaging Cooperation. Yoga for yourself and your children. The Radiant Child Yoga Program is a 30 hour training program developed by Shakta Kaur Khalsa during 35 years experience with children and yoga. RCYP is yoga teacher training at its best. RCYP qualifies as credit hours for RYT certification through Yoga Alliance. A certificate is given upon completion. Radiant Child Family Yoga (95 and 200 Hour Certification) with Shakta Kaur Khalsa. The Radiant Child Family Yoga 200 hr Certification provides the skill and understanding to work with children, youth, and families. Students learn how to teach children, women, men, and senior citizens...in short, all members of the family. Consistent feedback from graduates is that this training is personally and powerfully transforming, and provides the exact tools to go out and teach children and family yoga. Private consultation with RCFY founder, Shakta Khalsa, is included in tuition. Credit hours include previously attended RCY levels 1-3. These hours count as the first 30 hours of the 200. We are offering plenty of hands-on experience—the mentoring phase of the training is almost double the required hours, and includes one-to-one coaching with a RCY trainer. RCFY is devoted to supporting each person’s unique potential. Confidence in one’s ability to be a centered, calm, loving and playful leader of yoga with children and families will be explored in depth. There is a strong focus on self-practice, spirited discussion, and sharing of ideas. Training includes Hatha and Kundalini yoga, taught by experts in both areas, as well as professionals in the area of Sensory Integration. RADIANT CHILD FAMILY YOGA CONTENT Themed Sessions (105 hour intensive) Yoga Energetics and Anatomy Expert on subject will teach physical and energetic anatomy of children and adults. Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga in depth study for children and adults. Shakta’s book, Kundalini Yoga, will be thoroughly studied. Special spotlight on Senior Yoga. The Brain and Yoga In depth understanding of the connection between the brain and body. Expert on the subject of Brain Gym and Neuro-sensory-motor Reflex Integration will present part of this session. Special focus on Autism and other DSI issues, as well as help for depression, anxiety, insomnia and other similar topics. Boys to Men, Girls to Women Learning yoga in appreciation and understanding of the energies of each gender. How to reach into the hearts and minds of boys and girls. Special guest teachers will be children themselves, who will give their perspective about what their specific genders enjoy, and be available to answer your questions

A wide variety of games, songs, dances, art, and other creative tools that inspire a healthy, yogic lifestyle for children and adults. There will be a
strong focus on providing experiences that create natural health, including what constitutes a healthy diet and lifestyle, and how to translate that into a healthy planet. In the process, we’ll learn what these very special children have to teach us. This course teaches the participant how to effectively integrate yoga into their therapeutic treatment of children with learning and developmental challenges such as ADD/ADHD, Autism, and also Sensory Processing Disorders.
