🍽️ Busy week ahead? A little preparation can make a big difference.

Meal prepping doesn't have to mean spending your whole Sunday in the kitchen. A few simple habits can save you time, reduce stress and make it easier to eat well throughout the week.

πŸ₯£ Start simple

You don't need to prepare every meal. Begin with 2–3 lunches or dinners and build from there.

πŸ›’ Shop with a plan

Write a shopping list before you head to the supermarket. Planning ahead helps you stick to your budget, avoid food waste and make healthier choices.

🍲 Cook once, eat twice

Double your favourite recipe and freeze extra portions for busy days. Future you will be grateful when assignments start piling up.

πŸ₯• Choose easy ingredients

Keep your meals simple with affordable staples like rice, pasta, frozen vegetables, eggs, beans, chicken or tofu. Healthy doesn't have to be complicated.

🍎 Pack grab-and-go snacks

Keep fruit, yoghurt, nuts or muesli bars ready for those days when you're rushing between classes or study sessions. Having a snack on hand can help keep your energy up and your focus steady.

πŸ’™ Looking after yourself is just as important as keeping up with your coursework. Small habits like meal prep can help make busy weeks feel a little more manageable.

What's your favourite meal to prep for the week? Share your ideas belowβ€”you might inspire another student! 🍴

🌟 Student Spotlight | Meet Tino

Every student discovers their own path to success, and sometimes the right study environment can make all the difference.

Meet Tino, who is studying a Bachelor of Law/Commerce (Finance).

For Tino, having access to a quiet, dedicated study space has helped him stay focused and balance the demands of university life.

πŸ’¬ "The Ellenbrook Study Hub provides study spaces away from home. It has helped me focus on work and study in a quiet and controlled space. My advice for other students would be to lock in early in the trimester/semester."

Starting the semester with a plan can set you up for success. Whether it's booking your favourite study space, creating a routine or getting ahead on your coursework, small steps now can make a big difference later.

πŸ’™ Thank you, Tino, for sharing your story with our community. We wish you every success as you continue your studies!

πŸ‘‡ Join us in the comments and leave Tino a message of encouragement.

πŸ’™ A gentle reminder for this week...

Self-care isn't always about doing something big or elaborate.

Sometimes it looks like:

🌿 Saying no when your schedule is already full.

😴 Going to bed on time instead of pushing through.

πŸ₯ͺ Taking a proper lunch break.

🀝 Asking for help when you need it.

🚢 Going for a walk to clear your mind.

πŸƒ Moving your body, even for a few minutes.

These small choices might not feel like achievements, but they help you look after your wellbeing, build sustainable study habits and show up as your best self.

Remember, looking after yourself isn't taking time away from your studiesβ€”it's helping you succeed in them.

Which one do you need to prioritise this week? We'd love to hear in the comments.

πŸ“± Your phone can be one of your best study toolsβ€”if you're using the right apps.

Whether you're keeping track of assignments, revising for exams or trying to stay focused during study sessions, these three free apps can make university life a little easier.

βœ” Todoist – Organise assignments, deadlines and daily tasks.

βœ” Quizlet – Create flashcards and test your knowledge anywhere.

βœ” Forest – Stay focused by reducing phone distractions while you study.

Sometimes, studying smarter starts with having the right tools at your fingertips.

Have you used any of these apps? Or do you have another study app you'd recommend? We'd love to hear your favourites in the comments.
