🎶 Meet Luke! 🎶
Luke’s musical journey began at just 8 years old with guitar and drums, and he hasn’t looked back since. He started out in his school band as a percussionist, then went on to form original bands with mates in high school—writing songs, performing live, and entering competitions.
While studying his Bachelor of Music, Luke discovered a love for teaching and began offering private tuition. This hands-on experience sparked a passion for sharing music, which led him to complete a Master of Teaching in Secondary Music. To build on his passion for supporting diverse learners, Luke completed a Master of Special and Inclusive Education.
Luke has taught music across both primary and high school settings—delivering small group lessons in contemporary music (including guitar and drums) in primary schools across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Central Coast, as well as supporting high school students through their HSC music studies. His teaching style is engaging and tailored to meet the needs of each learner.
As a performer, Luke plays drums in MAK, a four-piece band, and guitar in Cliff & Co, a dynamic duo. Both groups have performed at weddings, private events, and venues across the region.
Now back in the Lake Macquarie area, Luke is excited to return to private tuition and welcome students of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to refine your skills, Luke brings experience, energy and a personalised approach to every lesson. 🎸🥁
