Once upon a time… our playground was filled with book characters! 📖🌟

What an incredible Book Character Parade! We loved seeing everyone’s amazing costumes and celebrating the magic of reading together. Well done, Mawarra! 🩷

We were also fortunate enough to have Peter Carnavas come to our school yesterday for an incursion!! What an awesome experience! 🎊

Thank you to everyone who helped bring our special day to life! A special shout out to Miss Taber, Miss Jenkins and Mrs Noakes! ⭐️

NSWPSSA State Championships

It's been another busy few weeks for some of our Mawarra students, representing Sydney South West at NSWPSSA State Championships far and wide across the state.

Adam represented in softball at Curl Curl, Zayn represented in rugby union at Mudgee and Kaiden and Levi represented in touch football at Coffs Harbour. These are not only amazing sporting experiences but great friendships and lifelong memories are made at these tournaments.

Well done boys on repesenting your school, zone and region with pride as always!

⭐️ Today, Mawarra Public School hosted the Term 3 local Junior AECG meeting.
We had an amazing time celebrating culture, student voice, and creativity with students and staff joining us from Spring Farm, and Elderslie. Our newly elected Junior AECG President, Eve, delivered a heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country that she wrote all by herself. Our talented Jarli shared an impressive didgeridoo performance and with fantastic guidance from Mrs Vicary and Miss L**h, students created stunning ochre artworks inspired by native Australian wildlife.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this event so special! ❤️
