Hunter River Community School Hunter River Community School is situated in Metford NSW. The school is a K-!2 school and caters for students with disabilities.

HRCS is located in Melaleuca Drive Metford. There are 10 classess: 4 Junior and 6 Senior classess. HRCS focuses on quality education for all and provides every student with the opportunity to engage in exciting and motivating activities. HRCS has a small, but very supportive P&C who are dedicated to assisting and promoting the school

This week an excited group of innovators joined our STEM leader Mr Shane Dryden, for another wonderful challenge!

This session, our learners were tasked to create a
solar car!

There was lots of collaborative learning, experimenting and evaluating as our team worked to “test” their models!

Great work everyone - it was also fabulous to see friends helping each other, and cheering on each “ test”!

Once again we would like to sincerely thank Shane, STEM project officer, Maitland Grossman High School and the Hunter Academy of STEM Excellence for their partnership and commitment to providing these opportunities for our students!

Today our fabulous ten pin bowling secondary team represented our school at the NSW School Sport Unit
Student Support and Specialist Programs bowling competition!
Our team bowled with conviction, sportsmanship and passion!
