Hi.
Finally after quite some weeks I am up to posting what’s been happening .
As I posted earlier the passing of my friend was a very emotional event. She was so brave to the end and is so sadly missed.
My husband has just had it confirmed that he has prostate cancer after several weeks of tests, various appointments and a biopsy. As you can imagine it’s been a tough few weeks for him. We don’t know the way forward as yet so everything is still up in the air. We are both digesting this. It may well be a rocky road ahead.
As to what’s been happening to me. When I had my fall at Christmas time 2023 I broke my ankle and fell heavily on my head. The consequences of the head injury were severe headaches. This lead to seeing a neurologist and going on medication for these. It also lead to the discovery of my brain tumour.
Over the last few months I have been having severe issues with foggiest, lack of concentration, dizziness , sensory issue, and heavy fatigue. I actually felt as if I was going mad. I found I couldn’t even go out for more than an hour or so and was extremely frustrated not being able to do the things I wanted to. Even though the neuro surgeon assured me my tumour was stable I was thinking it may have been related. About three weeks ago, in discussion with my GP we decided to see if the medication for the headaches may be part of the problem. So over the last few weeks I have been in withdrawal and the difference is remarkable. I’m finally off it…day 7 …and I actually feel more like myself. It will take a few more weeks before I will reap the full benefits and of course we will see if the headaches return. I must add I was never keen on taking this particular medication and over these last three years both the neurologist and my GP convinced me to stay on it….one time when I didn’t trust my gut feeling to get off it. Meanwhile I am taking it easy ( I have so many other health issues ) and enjoying the gradual improvement that is happening daily. I
I am very grateful to find the cause and feel that with what’s ahead with my husband’s diagnosis the timing is very welcomed.
Please take care of yourselves and please trust you intuition…if you have doubts or misgivings please don’t hestitate to delve further.
especially when it comes to your health.
Sent with much love and the hope that I will soon be able to be me again..lol. Meanwhile here’s some Japanese words of wisdom
