Good afternoon all,
Tomorrow we head to Australind to play soccer and netball against other schools our size.

Netball will be inside the rec centre while soccer will be on the fields. Please find the fixtures below.

Work is underway on our fabulous school mural by artist Xhai Middleton. While taking a break from the rain yesterday, Xhai spent some time with our upper primary students showing them how he transposes designs onto a wall using maths. The students then got to practice a gridding technique themselves and were surprised at how maths helps art! It is a wonderful opportunity to have a skilled artist like Xhai here at school able to share and collaborate his knowledge with our students. They are looking forward to being involved with the painting itself over the next few days! Huge thanks to South 32 and our DPS P&C for making this project possible. Don't forget to drive by over the next week and see the beautiful image reveal!

Phascogale Class Goes to GOSH!

Last week Phascogale Class went on an exciting excursion to Mandurah Catholic College to attend GOSH (Growing Our STEM Horizons). We met DJinga, the robot dog, who amazed us with his incredible backflips!

We also met experts who have built careers in STEM and discovered how AI is rapidly growing and changing technology in areas such as medicine, machinery, education and invention.

We put our STEM skills to the test by working in groups on a range of challenges. We used LEGO to design and build strong bridges, created solutions for bicycles with flat tyres, and even came up with ideas to help dogs who don’t like walking on wet grass!

A huge thank you to GOSH for such an inspiring and hands-on day. We loved our GOSH hats, sunnies and fidgets—and especially loved learning, creating and solving problems together!

Our running club is just about flying!!! So far, we've covered 71km this term - that means we've run to Armadale!
As everyone is so keen, we are changing the day and adding another.
Come and join us, even if it's just a walk and talk!
8:00-8:30 every Tuesday and Thursday.

Celebrating our Book Week Character Costume parade today 🥳🥳. We thank all of our school community for enthusiastically joining in today! We LOVED 😻 your costumes and we saw so many creative ideas - Well Done!! Dragons, fairies and animals were a real hit this year! 🦄🐻‍❄️🐯🐱🦜🐉✨🌟✨

Book Week Symphony of Stories is upon us!
Our Pop-Up Book Shop is open before and after school for you to visit with your child. There are lots of books and goodies for you to see!
Our book character costume parade will be held this Thursday at 9am. Prizes for best costume and best DIY costume for each class. Can't wait to see what you create!
