Oh dear! Can’t believe it’s been so long since I posted on this page!!
I haven’t been doing as much sewing as I’d like to - Grandchildren certainly can consume your time! But I wouldn’t have it any other way!!
However, I do have a new project to post…
If you enjoy puzzles this one is for you!
The block looks really complicated, but is actually sooo simple - thanks to a few little tricks. It’s called “Magic Squares” and makes an 80” square quilt with two different versions.
Lots of fun and $25 including postage. PM me if you’d like to order the pattern.

Look who we ran into at the Dubbo Quilt and Truck show today??
A few of my quilts were even used to fill up some spare spaces!!!

Just wanted to share this stunning version of my “Spring” design created by Caroline Stanton. Caroline came to my classes in Bullaburra and does beautiful work and…her domestic machine quilting is to die for!!!!
“My version of your Spring wall hanging. As you can see, I did it the easy way: raw edge applique using batiks, and a technique called Thread Painting to applique it down - basically triple free motion.
It's not as elegant or sophisticated as yours. I didn't want a background because it's going to a home for the child victims of homicide and needed to be cheerful.
I'm thinking of calling it Spring Riot.
What do you think?”

OMG!!! Only 6 and a bit weeks until Christmas! Every year I vow to make my Christmas projects early but... here I am again, about to frantically start on some gifts for my grandchildren's teachers! So in case you are like me and need some inspiration, here are a couple of easy-to-finish projects.
"Krazy Kristmas Trees" is a fusible machine applique project which looks great in a variety of Christmas fabrics - quick and easy!
"Santa's Forest" is a little miniature foundation pieced hanging, but each of these little blocks can make individual tree decorations - good for gifts!
"Christmas Heart" is another mini foundation pieced hanging - very easy - all log cabin blocks - and I don't mind if you enlarge them on your printer to make a bigger version!
"Poinsettia" table runner makes a stylish addition to a Christmas table - with very little effort. Again - machine applique and quick and easy.
Check the comments beside each picture for details and PM me if you are interested in purchasing them.

Spring is quite stunning here in Dubbo - flowers everywhere! So I thought I'd pop these two patterns up today... "Spring" and "Summer" They are both wall-hangings (or quilt centres if you prefer) and employ a simple and successful machine applique technique.
PM me if you'd like to purchase and we can exchange details. You'll find my pattern collection in Pictures or Gallery depending on how your device publishes Facebook and details of each will be in the Comments for each picture. I am in the process of setting up my Facebook Shop, so that should be a happening thing soon too.

Hi Folks! Well, it too me a while but I'm back at last. I'm loading my designs, a few at a time and I'll give a little explanation of each. You'll be able to find them stored in the photo gallery (My Designs) with the price of each which will include postage. When you are ready to order, simply PM me with your address and I'll give you my bank deposit details.
Now.... why the puzzled little man???
Well, I've designed another Mystery Quilt! This is the Lockdown Mystery Quilt and can be made with stash fabrics or your chosen selection. You will end up with a Queen sized quilt - all simple piecing - no applique.
It will cost you $25 and there will be 8 instalments of instructions which I will send out as PDFs either weekly, fortnightly or monthly - your choice!
If you are up for it, then PM me now!! Can't wait to see the results!!

Well… oceans of water have flowed under the bridge since my last post!!! Our world has changed so much in the last 18 months!! Needless to say the Retreat that I was promoting in my last post was cancelled, as we all went into lockdown 4 days before it began. Throughout it all, Ron and I have been very fortunate, as our region has been largely spared from the dreaded virus and we haven’t been deprived of our family as they are all close by. We even have another beautiful grandson as Wade was born on December 31st. Our daughter-in-law has just gone back teaching after maternity leave so we have the pleasure of his company two days a week - that keeps us hopping!!! Not much sewing happening yet, but plans are in the wind!! I was looking forward to teaching a class in Sydney in July, but guess what…? Yes, another outbreak!!
Many of you have noticed that my website is dead… I have decided not to upgrade it and I’ll put my designs up on this page and you can purchase directly from me. I think this will be a better option. It’ll take me a while to get them all up, so thanks in advance for your patience!!
I hope you have all kept well during these trying times… and, of course, done heaps of sewing!!!

As many of you already know, Ron and I have relocated to Dubbo to “retire” close to our family. We have purchased a lovely one and a half acre property on the Eastern outskirts of town are are really loving it. As a result, designing, teaching and sewing have taken a back seat for the last few months, but I’m getting my act into gear this year. And what better way to begin than with a Retreat???? Come and join us!!
Join Anne, Michelle and Myself for 3 days of fun , friendship and stitching in Dubbo.
