🎉 Father’s Day at DPS – We Had a Ball! ☕🥐

What a fantastic morning at DPS celebrating our dads, grandads and father figures!

A huge thank you to our wonderful Drummoyne Public P&C and some of our amazing mums for organising the Father’s Day Stall, delicious croissants and coffee, and the special gifts for our dads. 💙

A big shout-out also to the The Fathering Project DPS Dads Group for organising our inaugural DPS Handball Competition. It was fantastic to see so many dads and families getting involved. There were plenty of laughs, some serious handball talent, friendly competition.

Most importantly, it was a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, have a bit of fun and celebrate the dads and father figures who are such an important part of our DPS community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a special morning.

🎉 What a Fete! Thank You, DPS Community! 💜

A huge thank you to our incredible Drummoyne Public P&C and Fete Committee for the enormous amount of time, energy and enthusiasm you poured into making the Fete happen. So much work happens behind the scenes, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do for our school. ❤️

Thank you too to our amazing parent volunteers, sponsors and local businesses who got behind the day and helped make it such a success.

Most of all, thank you to our wonderful community for coming along, joining in and making the day such a fantastic celebration of DPS.

What a team. What a community. What a Fete! 🎉💜

📚 Book Week Parade! 🎭

From seagulls and astronauts to jellyfish, dinosaurs and characters of every description, our Book Week Parade was certainly one for the books! 🚀🪼🦖

It was fantastic to see so many parents and family members joining us to cheer on the children and share in the fun. These are the moments that make our school community so special! ❤️📖

A huge congratulations to DPS dad and resident Trivia Master, Adam “Thommo” Thompson, on his nomination for the 2026 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award! 🥊👏

For 14 years, Thommo has given his time to PCYC Woolloomooloo as a coach, mentor, fundraiser and committee member, helping young people build confidence, discipline and a stronger future through sport and community.

For us at Drummoyne Public School, this one is particularly special. Adam is our resident P&C trivia master and a very proud DPS dad - alongside his partner Pinky, they’re now supporting the third generation of Pinky’s family to come through our school.

We couldn’t be prouder. Adam represents the very best of our school community - community, connection and belonging.

Congratulations, Coach. So well deserved! ❤️🥊👏

🎉 Public Education Week 'Guess Who?' – Round 2: The Answers Are In! 🎉

How did you go? 👀

It was so much fun seeing everyone trying to match our staff members with their childhood school photos!

From Kindergarten classrooms to leading classrooms of their own, these staff all share one thing in common - a public education helped shape who they are today.

As we celebrate Public Education Week, we're proud that so many of our teachers and staff began their own journeys in NSW public schools and are now inspiring the next generation of learners at Drummoyne Public School.
