The Oakleigh Technical School Society presented two scholarship awards for sixth grade students going on to secondary education. The criteria is in the tradition of:
"Our Best Always"

Our first award was to Aanya Mittal at Murrumbeena Primary who was presented with an award certificate and a cheque for $500 by our society president Bryan Membrey.

Our second award was at Hughesdale Primary where Bryan presented to Pinidi Karunatne. This award marks the 25 th. year we have presented scholarships at Hughesdale.

Another milestone is the 2024 centenary of the school where school staff are planning an number of events through the year to celebrate one hundred years.

The next date for the society is Tuesday the 12th. of March 2024 for a social luncheon at 12 Midday at the Rosstown Hotel Bistro in Carnegie. All are welcome.

You are cordially invited to the next meeting of the Oakleigh Technical Society to be held Tuesday the 15th. of March 2022 at the Rosstown Hotel Bistro at 12 midday.

All are most welcome to join us over lunch.

As we couldn’t have our annual general meeting last year we will conduct it on this occasion.
This formality is usually conducted quite quickly before the meal.

When I made this booking the lass reminded me that attendees will need to have their Covid vaccination details available at the door.
If you haven’t come to one of these lunches before please consider coming along as I’m sure you will find it a most enjoyable time at this venue.

At the Oakleigh Technical School Society March 2020 meeting we were pleased to welcome once again ex OTS student Mal Dale who likes to plan his trip to drive down from Brisbane. He likes to stay at places which are often off the beaten track.

We are pleased to say the Oakleigh Technical School Society has had a very good 2019 both with the Annual General Meeting on the 24th of September at the Rosstown Hotel Bistro in Carnegie plus the annual scholarship awards put in place by the society to perpetuate the memory of the school.

Here are some photos taken on the day of the AGM.

We have been having these get togethers now for over 20 years which must be unique certainly amongst ex technical school students.

Our next meeting will be at the Rosstown Hotel Bistro March the 17th 2020 at 12 midday.
