Join us at the Library for our special Book Week session.

Our current focus is ‘Talk with Feeling’.

When children hear words spoken with feeling it helps them understand what the words mean and how to use them.

Using feeling in your voice means speaking in a lively, expressive way, instead of sounding flat or monotone. Changing your tone helps highlight important words and makes it easier for children to understand what you’re saying.

Let’s get talking about what is happening with Let’s Get Talking for the remainder of 2026!

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our survey prizes.
🍿 Iqra won our voucher to the cinema and visits the East Devonport CFLC.
🛒 Tameica won our grocery voucher and attends LiL at Nixon Street.

The LGT team has already been in contact about how you can collect your prizes - but please message us if you have issues!

Don’t forget to complete our survey to go into the draw to win a family movie voucher at Reading Cinemas and a Coles voucher. Our survey closes on Monday at 11am and will be drawn on Tuesday so your prize can be picked up from your school office.

Completing this survey should only take a few minutes and will give us valuable information about our Let’s Get Talking project.

Let’s Get Talking about our LiL sessions!

Here’s all the times and locations for the Launching into Learning (LiL) sessions at our local schools.
LiL is for children aged birth - 5 and happens weekly during school terms. Check the schools’ page for up to date information. You are always welcome to attend and try new LiL sessions at different schools.
