🌟 Playgroup Fun! 🌟

Over the last two weeks at playgroup, we have had so much fun together! β˜€οΈ

We’ve enjoyed having the soft play equipment outside, where the children could climb, balance, explore and play. We also took our songs outside, which was a lovely way to enjoy the beautiful weather together. 🎢

Our sensory activities have been a big hit! The children have explored slime and an astronaut themed sensory tray πŸš€, and we’ve had lots of creativity while making animal masks. 🐯🐰

One of our favourites has definitely been making our cake and donut slimes! 🍰🍩 The children loved getting hands on, mixing, creating and exploring all the different textures.

We’ve had two wonderful weeks filled with messy play, creativity, movement and lots of smiles. Thank you to everyone who joined us! πŸ’›

πŸ“£ This Friday, we are excited to welcome Play Matters to our playgroup! They will be joining us to chat about the support, services and playgroups they provide for families in our local area. It’s a great opportunity to find out what is available for you and your little ones, so don’t miss it! 🌟

We can’t wait to see you this Friday for another fun morning together! 😊

β˜€οΈ Another Fun Morning at Playgroup! β˜€οΈ

We had another wonderful morning at playgroup this week, with lots of fun, messy and creative experiences for the children to enjoy! πŸ’›

Outside, we brought out all of our soft play equipment, which was a big hit! The children had so much fun climbing, balancing, walking across the equipment and making their way under the bridge. It was a great way to build confidence while developing their gross motor and balancing skills.

We also had a very messy shaving foam sensory experience! 🫧 We hid 20 little animals inside the shaving foam, and the children loved digging through the foam to find them all. πŸ˜πŸ¦πŸ’

There was plenty more to explore throughout the morning, including our dinosaur sensory tray πŸ¦–, stencil colouring 🎨 and playdough, where the children got creative and made lots of wonderful creations.

The children also had the chance to paint their own magnets. Some were pizzas πŸ• and some were burgers .

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another fun filled morning. We loved seeing all the children exploring, creating and having fun together! 🌈✨

On Friday the 24th, we had another wonderful morning at playgroup filled with lots of fun, hands on learning experiences.

The children loved exploring our jelly sensory activity, where they used a variety of materials including pots, ice cube trays, measuring cups, bowls and spoons to scoop, pour and investigate the jelly. It was fantastic to see their curiosity and creativity as they experimented with the different textures.

Next, we enjoyed a shaving foam sensory experience, which was a big hit! The children loved touching, feeling and getting messy as they searched for hidden LEGO pieces buried in the shaving foam. It was another wonderful opportunity for sensory exploration and imaginative play.

Our pasta necklace activity was also a favourite. We dyed pasta red, green and blue, and the children created their own colourful necklaces. It was lovely to see the adults joining in too, with everyone having fun designing their own unique creations together.

A special highlight of the morning was a visit from our local Fire and Rescue Service. The firefighters spoke to the children about fire safety in a fun and engaging way before giving everyone the opportunity to see the fire truck up close. The children were so excited, and we are incredibly grateful to the firefighters for taking the time to visit us and share such important safety messages.

Thank you to all the families who joined us for another fantastic morning. We can't wait to see you all this Friday for more fun in the sun! β˜€οΈ

Last Friday of last term, we had an absolute blast! A huge thank you to Belinda from Younity for joining us to run a fun ice cream activity and chat with our lovely families about the free playgroups and programs available in our local community. 🍦

The children also loved our fruit and vegetable water play, exploring lemons, oranges, carrots, and cucumber through scooping, pouring, and splashing. Another favourite was our nature collage, where they collected leaves, grass, sticks, and other treasures from around the playground to create a beautiful piece of nature art.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! We can't wait to see you all back for Term 3 this Friday, 17 July for another fun filled morning. 😊

On Friday, we had a lovely morning filled with fun and engaging activities.

One of our favourite experiences was making our own sensory bottles. The children chose pom poms, glitter, gems, and different shapes to place inside their bottles before adding water. They loved shaking their bottles and watching all the items move, float, and settle. It was wonderful to see their excitement as they explored the different colours and movements inside.

We also enjoyed a jelly exploration activity. The children were provided with jelly and a variety of utensils, including measuring cups, spoons, and scissors, to investigate and play with. There were lots of comments about how cold and squishy the jelly felt, and the children had so much fun scooping, pouring, cutting, and exploring the different textures.

Throughout the morning, we also enjoyed singing songs, playing musical instruments, colouring in, and creating lots of wonderful things with playdough. It was fantastic to see the children using their imaginations, developing their fine motor skills, and having fun learning through play.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, we look forward to another fun filled morning on Friday.😊

This Friday, 19th June, we are excited to have the Oral Health Van visiting. All children who attend will have the opportunity to receive a free dental check up from the Oral Health team. We look forward to seeing everyone there for another fun morning of play, learning, and healthy smiles! 🦷😁

🌟 Friday Morning Fun! 🌟

What a fantastic morning we had today! It was lovely to see more friends joining us and enjoying all the fun activities on offer.

We had a sensory tray filled with oats and beads, along with dinosaurs, cars, cups, and containers. The children loved scooping, pouring, filling, and emptying as they explored the different textures and created their own imaginative play experiences.
Our ice painting activity was another highlight! Using frozen coloured water, the children created beautiful artwork while exploring temperature and colour. There were lots of excited comments such as "Oh my gosh, it's cold!", "Wow!" and "It's freezing!" as they discovered what happened when they held and painted with the ice.

We also enjoyed playing with clay, completing some colouring activities, singing songs together, and finishing the morning with a fun balloon dance party. The children loved dancing, playing games, and moving to the music before sitting down to enjoy a yummy morning tea.

A special thank you to Zarraffa's Coffee for helping us spoil our mums today! Each mum received a free goodie bag, which included a voucher for a free Zarraffa's coffee. We hope you enjoyed your special treat! β˜•πŸ’

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, and we look forward to another fun filled morning next Friday! πŸ’™πŸ˜ŠπŸŽˆπŸŽ¨πŸ¦•β„οΈ

What a lovely morning we had today! Even though we only had a few friends join us, that didn't stop us from having lots of fun together.

We explored blue and red coloured spaghetti as a sensory and fine motor activity. The children enjoyed using scissors to cut the spaghetti and tongs to pick it up, helping to develop their hand strength and coordination. We also enjoyed bracelet making, creative crafts, and creating our own pictures using paper, glue, and a variety of art materials.

Of course, we also shared a delicious morning tea and enjoyed spending time together.

Unfortunately, Bunnings is no longer able to attend next week's session, but don't worryβ€”we have a special treat instead! β˜• Every parent who attends next week will receive a free Zarraffa's coffee.

We look forward to seeing everyone next week! 😊

Friday was such a wonderful morning! πŸ’›πŸ“š

We were lucky to have Morgan, our Speech Therapist, join us to present a fantastic session for families about shared reading and ways to turn reading into a rich learning experience that supports children’s speech and language development. Morgan shared some great tips and facts with parents, which we have attached below for families to look back on.

We also had lots of fun activities happening throughout the morning! The sensory dough was definitely the hit of the day, with children enjoying creating, exploring and using their imaginations. We also explored our sensory bags, which were so much fun to squish, squeeze and feel. After reading Where is the Green Sheep?, the children loved making their own green sheep craft creations.

Outside, we had so much fun blowing bubbles and completing the obstacle course together, encouraging movement, confidence and lots of smiles.

Thank you to all our families for another lovely morning β€” we can’t wait to see everyone again next Friday! 🌈✨
