The 2026 NAIDOC Week theme, "50 Years: The Next Generation – Strength, Vision & Legacy," marks an important milestone—celebrating 50 years of honouring First Nations voices, cultures and contributions, while looking towards the future with hope, leadership and shared responsibility.

At Mura, we believe that meaningful change begins with connection, listening and walking alongside one another. This week is an opportunity for all Australians to celebrate, learn, reflect and continue building stronger relationships grounded in respect and understanding.

🌿 Showing Up for Country, Each Other & You

Earlier this week, we had the privilege of travelling to Borroloola to facilitate our Navigating Two Worlds: Showing Up for Country, Each Other & You workshop with the Li-Anthawirriyarra Sea Ranger Unit.

This marked an exciting milestone for Mura as our first remote Ranger workforce project, and we couldn't have asked for a better team to share the experience with.

Over two days, we yarned about navigating cultural and community commitments alongside workplace expectations, recognising the strengths each person brings to the team, building confidence, strengthening leadership and supporting one another to continue showing up—for Country, for the community and for each other.

What stood out most wasn't just the conversations we had, but the openness, honesty and willingness of the Rangers to reflect, share their experiences and invest in their own growth as individuals and as a team.

A huge thank you to the Li-Anthawirriyarra Sea Ranger Unit for trusting us to walk alongside you. We're grateful for the opportunity to learn, listen and contribute in a way that was grounded in respect, collaboration and community.

We look forward to seeing where this journey leads and hope it's the first of many opportunities to support Ranger groups and remote communities across the Northern Territory and beyond.
