🏃‍♀️ Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge – Year 5! 💛

This Friday, Nightcliff Primary School’s 5 Field and 5 Elliott classes will be stepping outside their comfort zones as they take part in Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge!

Working in groups, our Year 5 students will run and walk 12.2 km around the school oval to raise funds to support people experiencing homelessness.

Through teamwork, persistence and a positive attitude, students will discover that growth happens when we challenge ourselves and embrace the uncomfortable. 💪

We can’t wait to see 5 Field and 5 Elliott rise to the challenge, support one another and give it their all!

💛 Would you like to support our Year 5 students? Every donation makes a difference!

🎬✨ LIGHTS, CAMERA, NIGHTCLIFF! ✨🎬
What a spectacular night! Last night, Nightcliff Primary School celebrated 65 years of education, community and connection with our Extravaganza 2026 – Lights, Camera, Nightcliff!
From our beginnings in 1961 with just 7 classrooms and 240 students, Nightcliff Primary has grown into a vibrant, multicultural school community of more than 500 students and their families.
The 65th anniversary celebration brought together past and present students, families, staff and community members for an unforgettable evening filled with incredible performances, music, dancing, laughter, memories and plenty of delicious food! 🎶💃🍔
Our food trucks added to the festive atmosphere, giving families the opportunity to relax, enjoy dinner together and soak up the wonderful community spirit before the Extravaganza began.
A huge thank you to every student, staff member, family, volunteer, food truck operator and community member who helped make the evening so special. Your enthusiasm, creativity and support made it a celebration to remember! 💛🖤

📚✨ AUTHOR VISIT – DEB FITZPATRICK! ✨📚

We were very lucky to welcome Australian author Deb Fitzpatrick to Nightcliff Primary School today! 🎉📖

Deb Fitzpatrick writes books for adventurous kids with big hearts and has written some wonderful stories, including Tawny Trouble, Kelpie Chaos, 90 Packets of Instant Noodle and The Amazing Spencer Gray. 📚💛

Our Year 3/4 and Year 5/6 students enjoyed a wonderful morning in the Library, listening to Deb talk about her books, writing and experiences as an author.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to meet a real author, learn more about the writing process and be inspired by the stories she has created. ✨

A big thank you to Deb for visiting Nightcliff Primary School and sharing your love of reading and writing with our students. We hope you have inspired some future authors and lifelong readers! 💛🖤

💛🖤 Teacher Aide Appreciation Celebration 🖤💛

Today we celebrate and say a huge THANK YOU to our amazing Teacher Aides at Nightcliff Primary School! 🌟

Our Teacher Aides do incredible work every day to support our students, teachers and families, making such a positive difference across our school community. We truly appreciate everything they do! 💛

A very special moment came from our Year 4 students, who were so excited to recognise Ms Lee-Anne with a Merit Award in the staffroom. 🏆👏

The students wrote the award, signed it and presented it themselves — a beautiful and thoughtful way to show their appreciation for all that Ms LeeAnne does to support them. ❤️

Thank you to all our wonderful Teacher Aides for your care, patience, dedication and the difference you make every single day.

You are valued, appreciated and an important part of the Nightcliff Primary School family! 🌻

📚🎶✨ WHAT A SYMPHONY OF STORIES! ✨🎶📚

What a fantastic Book Week we have had at Nightcliff Primary School! 💙💛

This morning’s Book Week Parade was the perfect way to celebrate our love of books, reading, imagination and storytelling! 📖✨

A special shout-out to our wonderful School Captains, who did a fantastic job running this morning’s assembly and helping make our Book Week celebration so special! 👏🎤🌟

Our students looked absolutely amazing as they brought their favourite book characters to life. We saw superheroes, magical characters, animals, storybook favourites and so many creative costumes! 🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️🐻👑🧚‍♀️

From past to present and future student authors of Nightcliff Primary School, it was wonderful to celebrate the stories that inspire us — and perhaps some future authors who are already busy creating stories of their own! ✍️📚🌟

Our library has also been buzzing with Book Week excitement, with displays of the 2026 shortlisted Picture Stories and Early Childhood Stories for students to discover and explore. We’ve had lots of reading, browsing, Book Week activities, bookmarks, word searches and plenty of opportunities to get lost in a good book.

A huge thank you to our amazing teachers, support staff and library team for creating such a wonderful Book Week experience for our students.

And a special thank you to Ms Bubb, Ms Politis, Ms Fraser, Ms Elliott and Ms Fowler for preparing our fantastic library displays and getting everything ready for our students to enjoy. 🌟

Most importantly, thank you to our wonderful Nightcliff Primary School students and families for embracing the magic of Book Week and making this celebration so special!

📚✨ What a wonderful week of stories, imagination and creativity! ✨📚

🌟 A Fantastic Day at Parliament House! 🏛️🇦🇺

Yesterday, our Year 6 students had a fantastic time taking part in the NTEC Parliament Excursion at Parliament House!

Students explored the electoral process, preferential voting and the history of democracy in the Northern Territory. They enjoyed a tour of Parliament House, participated in an interactive electoral session and had the opportunity to watch Parliament in action from the viewing gallery.

A special highlight was meeting our local Member for Nightcliff, Mr Ed Smelt MLA, in the foyer.

It was a wonderful hands-on learning experience that brought our Year 6 Civics and Citizenship learning to life. 📚✨

A big thank you to our teachers
