As part of their Term 3 unit on Pilgrimage, 19 Year 11 SRM students put their learning into practice through a local journey of faith.
The group walked from Holy Family Catholic Church in Karama to Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Casuarina, visiting several places of worship along the way.
The pilgrimage provided an opportunity for prayer, reflection and meaningful conversation, allowing students to step away from their usual routines, deepen their spiritual connections, and discover new meaning in their everyday lives.

๐ Year 9 & 10 Canberra & Sydney Adventure! ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ
Our Year 9 and 10 students have had an incredible adventure so far!
Days 2 and 3 were packed with learning and exploration, with visits to the Museum of Australian Democracy, National Archives of Australia, National Gallery of Australia, Royal Australian Mint and Parliament House.
We were privileged to welcome an OCC family member and Minister for Indigenous Affairs, Malarndirri McCarthy, who spent time chatting with the group. Luke Gosling also stopped by for a chat at Parliament House.
The students and staff then embraced the freezing conditions at Corin Forest, enjoying tobogganing and plenty of fun in the snow! โ๏ธโ
Days 4 and 5 saw the group head to Sydney, where they visited Taronga Zoo, enjoyed a ferry ride and explored Circular Quay. Students also had the privilege of touring St Maryโs Cathedral, learning about its history and visiting the crypt before some time exploring Sydney CBD.
From snow to sunshine, museums to city adventures, it has been an action-packed trip filled with learning, laughter and unforgettable memories!

It was wonderful to meet the team from Catholic School Parents Australia!
It was a pleasure to meet with Principal, Megan Evans and APRE, Kathryn Pettersen at O'Loughlin Catholic College today. It seems that we had timed our CPSA visit "just right" to join their discussions about the work of the national Catholic School Parent body!
It was great to hear about the various ways in which the College seeks to authentically listen to their parent community and provide them with strategies for meaningful engagement with their children's learning.
We look forward to continuing the conversation soon! ๐ด
