From planning through to ex*****on, our team was all over it — contributing to event design and setup, managing competition scoring, and helping coordinate food and accommodation.

Arbfest is always a fantastic event for the arboriculture community — bringing together climbers, industry professionals, families, and supporters for a great weekend in the trees.
Friday afternoon kicks off with an informal welcome and meet-and-greet, giving everyone a chance to catch up before the main competition day on Saturday.
Expect big skills in the trees, plenty of laughs, friendly rivalry, and a great atmosphere.
A big thank you to VTIO sponsor Specialty Trees, who will be there on Saturday to discuss Australian Standard 2303 – Tree stock for landscape use.
They will also be running the Formative Pruning Challenge
👨👩👧👦 Spectators are welcome, so bring the family along and enjoy the action.

Get ready for Arbfest 2026 — a weekend celebrating climbing, competition, community, and all things arboriculture. Whether you’re competing, catching up with mates, or just soaking up the atmosphere, Arbfest promises two unforgettable days in the trees.
Friday 20th – Welcome Afternoon & Evening (Optional)
The weekend kicks off with an informal meet-and-greet at Apex Park.
A chance to:
• Settle in and relax before the main event
• Catch up with fellow climbers and industry mates
• Get climbing gear checks
No pressure — just good conversations and a great way to start the weekend.
Saturday 21st – Competition Day
An early start as we complete final gear checks before launching into a full day of competition, challenges, and fun. Expect big energy, plenty of laughs, and serious skill both in the trees and on the ground.
Accommodation is right next door at the caravan park, so stick around Saturday evening and keep the good times going.

🌿 A New Chapter Begins in Arboriculture 🌿
This week we welcomed a new group of students into our AHC50524 Diploma of Arboriculture program.
It’s always encouraging to see experienced arborists and industry professionals take the next step in advancing their knowledge, leadership capability and technical expertise. The Diploma challenges participants to deepen their understanding of tree biology, risk assessment, legislation, report writing and strategic management practices.
Over the coming months, these students will be developing the expertise that supports safer worksites, stronger businesses and better outcomes for the urban forest.
