Dandenong Community Family Day Care

At the Old Cheese Factory Community Gardens, the children enjoyed a hands-on gardening session filled with nature exploration, sensory play, and creativity. They searched for bugs and worms with magnifying glasses, explored the secret garden, collected autumn leaves, and learned about bees through imaginative pollination activities. The group also created worm habitats, made seed bombs, planted seeds to take home, and worked together to build bee hives. Throughout the experience, the children showed curiosity, cooperation, confidence, and a strong connection with the natural environment.

As we celebrate Annual Family Day Care Week , we are also proud to mark 50 years of success in the family day care space.
It has been a privilege to be part of so many children's lives and to contribute in a meaningful way to their growth, learning and well-being. We are truly grateful for the trust placed in us over the years.
Here's to the children, families and educators who make this journey so special.
