🌟 Celebrating an Outstanding Coding Achievement! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Samanthi and the RDPS Code Club for taking out 1st place in the 2025 Moonhack competition! 🎉💻
Moonhack is a global coding event where students from around the world come together to solve problems, get creative, and build their digital skills.

Samanthi’s result is a fantastic reflection of the dedication and creativity she has shown throughout the year and we are incredibly proud of her achievement! As part of this success, she has also won $1000 for our school, which is an amazing contribution that will help support future learning opportunities for our students.

Our Code Club continues to be a space where students can collaborate, solve problems, share ideas, and explore the exciting world of coding together. It is always exciting to see where these opportunities can lead!

We are also excited to share that RDPS Code Club is back again for 2026 and will run every Tuesday during Breaks 2 and 3. This year, 7 additional students from Years 3–6 joined the club after submitting a letter of expression outlining their interest and enthusiasm for coding. Students have already been working on a variety of creative coding projects while continuing to build and strengthen their digital technology skills.

What an outstanding achievement for RDPS Code Club at Moonhack 2025!

Our talented students participated in this year’s Moonhack – a computer programming challenge with nearly 29,577 registrations from 47 countries this year.

Our coders achieved remarkable success:
🏆 Winner of the PartyMix:Bit category: Samanthi
🌟 Top 10 and Showcase in Birthday Blast Off! category: group project by Samanthi, Neera, Sanav and Nathan
🌟 Top 10 in Lunar Laughs category: Sanav
🌟 Top 10 in Party Puzzle category: George
🌟 Top 10 in Party Puzzle category: Tanuja

These achievements are extraordinary, especially in a year where Birthday Blast Off was the most popular Moonhack project and engaged a huge number of participants worldwide. The creativity, persistence and collaboration shown by our students reflect the very best of our RDPS learning community.

A heartfelt thank you to Code Club Australia and the Telstra Foundation, and to our supportive families for making these real-world STEM opportunities possible.

There are already exciting plans underway for the 2026 RDPS Code Club program, which will be announced soon.
