This is what building something different looks like. 💙

Two Occupational Therapists. One Social Worker. And a Physiotherapist joining virtually.

Four clinicians, three disciplines and one shared commitment to supporting young people with complex needs.

Our Psychology and Speech Pathology colleagues couldn't join us for this photo, and there are plenty more members of our growing team.

But this meeting represents an important step in what we're building at All Access Education Group.

Genuine multidisciplinary care.

Not simply having different clinicians working under the same roof.

But creating a culture where professionals share their expertise, challenge each other's thinking, develop coordinated strategies and work towards meaningful outcomes together.

Where we recognise that a young person's physical development, emotional wellbeing, sensory needs, learning and relationships are all connected.

And where families aren't left trying to piece everything together themselves.

As we prepare for our move into a much larger clinic in January 2027, these are the foundations that matter most.

Buildings don't create exceptional services.

People do. Culture does. Collaboration does.

SOMETIMES A FAMILY’S NEEDS DON’T FIT NEATLY INTO ONE BOX.

Your child may be struggling at school—but the problem isn’t only academic.

There may also be anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, disability, family stress, masking, challenging behaviour or a school that does not fully understand what your child needs.

You might already have several professionals involved, yet still feel as though you are the only person connecting the pieces.

This is where social work can help.

All Access Education Group is expanding its services to provide more complete support for children, parents and families.

Our social workers can assist with:

• Understanding the whole family situation
• Psychosocial assessments
• Therapeutic and emotional support
• Parent guidance and support
• School advocacy and meetings
• Coordinating services and recommendations
• Navigating education, disability, health and community systems
• Developing a practical plan for what happens next

You do not need to know exactly which service your family needs before contacting us.

You can simply tell us what has been happening, what you have already tried and where you feel stuck.

Education and allied health cannot continue operating in separate worlds while families are left trying to connect the pieces.

A teacher sees unfinished work and declining engagement.

A tutor identifies gaps in foundational learning.

A therapist recognises regulation, sensory or developmental needs.

A parent sees the anxiety, exhaustion and meltdowns that happen once the child gets home.

Everyone sees something important—but too often, nobody sees the whole child.

Families are sent from one service to another.

They repeat the same story to every new professional.

Schools wait for reports.

Clinicians work without enough information from the classroom.

Parents become the only people responsible for connecting it all.

This is not because families, teachers or professionals are not trying hard enough.

It is because our systems were designed in fragments.

At All Access Education Group, we believe children need support built around them—not a collection of disconnected services they are expected to fit into.

Through Townsville Education Centre and our expanding educational and allied health services, we are working toward a genuinely connected model.

One where tutoring is informed by how the child learns.

Where educational difficulties are considered alongside confidence, regulation, communication and participation.

Where families are listened to as experts on their own children.

Where schools and professionals can work toward shared goals.

And where a child is not reduced to a diagnosis, a behaviour, a test result or a report-card grade.

This does not mean every child needs every service.

It means someone needs to look at the whole picture and help families identify the right place to begin.

Our goal is bigger than improving academic results.

We want children to feel capable.

We want parents to feel supported.

We want teachers to have meaningful partners around them.

And we want families to stop being passed between systems that were never designed to work together.

The system may be fragmented.

The last few days have exposed the consequences of a system that continues to understand children in pieces.

Our Director spent hours speaking with parents who reached out after seeing his posts.

Many spoke for 10, 15 or 20 minutes because nobody had previously allowed them to explain the whole picture.

Each therapist had wanted particular information.

Each doctor had considered a particular group of symptoms.

Each school had focused on learning, attendance or classroom behaviour.

Meanwhile, parents were left trying to connect every piece themselves.

These families are now dealing with school refusal, extreme anxiety, eating disorders, violence, emotional shutdown and children who are becoming increasingly disconnected from education, their families and the world around them.

Then, at the end of those emotionally overwhelming days, our Director attended a paediatric appointment for his own child.

His child experiences extreme separation anxiety, emotional dysregulation, sensory challenges, masking, people-pleasing, distress around transitions, avoidance and constant overthinking.

Yet the conversation focused heavily on whether the child was doing well academically.

The paediatrician questioned why medication was being considered if the child was achieving at school.

It was the final step in a sequence of experiences that demonstrated the same systemic failure:

We continue to use academic performance as a shortcut for wellbeing.

His child receives substantial adjustments to their learning environment and assessments.

Achievement with significant support does not demonstrate an absence of need.

It may demonstrate that the support is effective.

Still, masking is mistaken for coping.

Compliance is mistaken for regulation.

People-pleasing is mistaken for confidence.

Academic achievement is mistaken for wellness.

Then we wait.

We wait for grades to decline.

We wait for attendance to collapse.

We wait for anxiety to become school refusal.

We wait for behaviour to become unsafe.

We wait until the child and family are in crisis—and only then decide their difficulties are serious enough to deserve coordinated support.

That is not early intervention.

To every family who has reached out over the last few days: thank you for trusting us with your story.

Our team is working through every message and call, and we will do our best to respond to everyone by Monday.

Your stories are painful, but they are also strengthening our determination to build a different model.

Through Townsville Education Centre, we are working toward a place where education, allied health and family support are not treated as disconnected worlds—where families can tell the whole story and children are seen as complete human beings.

We are not building a collection of services.

We are building a different model of care.

There is an enormous difference.

A parent recently shared that their child was being assessed for ADHD. When Occupational Therapy was raised, it wasn’t considered necessary. The pathway presented was essentially assessment, diagnosis and then medication.

Medication may absolutely form an important part of evidence-based ADHD care.

But the interaction highlighted a much bigger structural problem:

Our systems are very good at dividing a person into parts.

Education deals with learning.

Occupational Therapy deals with function.

Speech Pathology deals with communication.

Psychology deals with behaviour and mental health.

Medicine deals with diagnosis and medical treatment.

And families are expected to somehow connect all of those dots themselves.

That is the model All Access Education Group wants to challenge.

A child experiencing difficulty concentrating at school might simultaneously have sensory differences, executive-function challenges, language difficulties, anxiety, developmental differences or environmental factors influencing what everyone else simply sees as “behaviour”.

No single profession owns that child.

And no single profession has the complete picture.

Our direction as an organisation is therefore increasingly clear:

Build genuinely integrated child and family services around the person, rather than asking the person to navigate disconnected services.

That means educators communicating with clinicians.

OTs collaborating with psychologists.

Speech pathologists contributing to developmental assessment.

Clinicians speaking directly with schools.

Families being treated as genuine members of the team.

And, as we continue to grow, embedding medical practitioners within that multidisciplinary model as well.

This isn’t about replacing one profession with another.

It isn’t about being anti-diagnosis.

And it certainly isn’t about being anti-medication.

It is about rejecting the idea that complex human beings should receive fragmented, one-dimensional care.

Our goal is to build organisations where the question is not:

“Whose department does this problem belong to?”

It is:

“What does this person need, and who needs to be around the table to provide it?”

That philosophy will shape the next stage of All Access Education Group.

Whole-person care.

Shared responsibility.

Professionals working together.

And systems designed around people instead of people being forced to fit systems.

Every child who walks through our doors brings a different story with them.

Some arrive excited and ready to learn. Some arrive anxious, overwhelmed or already believing they are “the difficult one.” Some have spent years being corrected for behaviours that were actually communication, or being punished for not meeting expectations they didn’t yet have the skills to meet.

We never want All Access Education Group to become another place where a child feels they have failed before they have even begun.

That is why we’ll be working with our staff, students and families to develop a set of shared principles for our organisation.

Not a long list of rules written by adults and stuck to a wall.

Something our children have helped create. Something they can understand, feel connected to and genuinely own.

Rules alone rarely account for neurodiversity, developmental differences, age, capacity, sensory needs or what may be happening in a child’s life that day. A child can understand an expectation and still need help to meet it.

Our principles will give us a shared foundation across tutoring, allied health, science programs and events. We’ll use modelling, real examples and social stories to help children understand what those principles look like in different situations—not simply tell them they have done the wrong thing after the fact.

This doesn’t mean removing boundaries. Children deserve clear, safe and consistent boundaries.

It means recognising that children also deserve patience, dignity and support while they learn how to navigate them.

We want to build an organisation where children aren’t asked to fit into a culture that was created without them. We want them to help us build it.

Because every child who enters our spaces should feel more than managed or accommodated.

They should feel safe. They should feel understood. And most importantly, they should feel that they genuinely belong.

We're changing more than education. We're changing what work feels like.

Every industry has accepted certain things as "just part of the job."

Burnout.
Chaos.
Constant firefighting.
Poor communication.
Feeling like you're always behind.

We don't think they have to be.

This week, our leadership team is sitting down to discuss something we've called "Choosing the Right Hard."

The idea is simple.

There are some challenges that make people better.

Helping a struggling student finally understand a concept.

Supporting a family through uncertainty.

Learning a new skill.

Leading others well.

Those things are difficult—but deeply rewarding.

Then there's another kind of hard.

Systems that don't work.

Processes that create frustration.

Unclear expectations.

Problems that exist simply because no one has fixed them.

Those are leadership problems.

As All Access Education Group continues to grow across tutoring, allied health and events, we're constantly asking ourselves:

What makes our people better?

And...

What just makes their jobs harder?

Because if we can remove unnecessary friction, talented people have more energy to do the work they love.

That's the kind of organisation we're trying to build.

One where people don't just stay because of the pay.

You can write company values on a website, print them on a wall and include them in every induction.

But the real values of a business are usually revealed on the difficult days.

They are revealed when several staff members are sick and people step outside their usual roles to keep things running.

When the events team helps another part of the group prepare resources because they know it is a busy week.

When an administrator spends extra time helping a worried parent understand their options.

When a tutor raises a concern because they care about a student, even though it would be easier to say nothing.

When a team member admits they have made a mistake and focuses on fixing it rather than hiding it.

When leaders step back into reception, classrooms or event setup because no job is suddenly beneath them.

Across All Access Education Group, we work in education, allied health, events and community programs.

The work looks very different across each part of the group, but the values underneath it should feel the same.

We want to be a group that:

Treats people properly.

Creates opportunities.

Supports families without judgment.

Gives staff room to grow.

Takes responsibility when something goes wrong.

Clinical Psychologist — Telehealth

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist who wants the flexibility of working remotely without feeling like they are practising alone.

All Access Education Group is expanding its telehealth services to support children, young people and families who cannot easily access the right professionals locally.

For families in regional and remote areas, finding a psychologist can involve long waitlists, hours of travel or simply being told that nobody nearby is taking new clients.

We want to help change that.

This role is not about sitting in back-to-back video appointments all day.

We are building it around a manageable clinical workload, proper administration support and enough time for report writing, collaboration, professional development and thoughtful clinical work.

You would also have the opportunity to help shape the service from the beginning, including:

• The types of clients and presentations we support
• Referral and intake pathways
• Telehealth resources and clinical processes
• Collaboration with occupational therapy, speech pathology and education services
• Your own clinical interests
• The future growth of the psychology team

Although the role is remote, you would be connected to a growing multidisciplinary organisation rather than operating as an isolated practitioner.

Our wider team works across tutoring, occupational therapy, speech pathology, psychology, events and family support, with further medical services being developed.

We are open to discussing full-time or substantial part-time arrangements with the right person.

For a full-time role, the salary range is $110,000–$125,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.

We can offer:
