Birches ELC Croydon

🌻🍂Today, our toddlers turned into little explorers! We went on a nature walk around our environment, enthusiastically collecting various natural resources like leaves, petals, and twigs.

Back in the room, we invited the children to create their own nature collages. Using sheets of sticky contact paper, the children loved exploring the different textures before carefully pressing their treasures down. This hands-on experience was a wonderful way for our toddlers to connect with the natural world while practicing their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination!

The children have been learning about the process of a caterpillar 🐛 to chrysalis to a Monarch butterfly 🦋

Lest we forget.

Our children helped decorate the wreath with flowers which was placed at the Dawn Service.

They chose the flowers and placed each one with care.

We’ve just received our result from our very first Assessment and Rating — Meeting the National Quality Standard.

This is a big milestone for a new service. It reflects the work that happens every day in our rooms. The planning. The care. The teamwork. And the high expectations we set for ourselves.

To extend on the kinder children’s interest of insects 🐞 the children made their own butterflies 🦋 using primary colours 💙💛❤️

In our Nursery room Dinosaurs have been a big interest for the children. Through dinosaur footprint painting lots of laughs, stomping, and messy creativity was had by all 🦕 🎨
