Next Monday's gypsy swing jam features the fabulous accordionist and clarinettist, (Eddie Edouard Bronson. Eddie plays with Msr. Camembert and features in the recent sold out tribute to Leonard Cohen concert at the State Theatre. Eddie will be joined by David J Seidel , Cameron Jones and myself and a heap of jammers, so come along and join in!
The Gypsy Swing Jam plays every second week at Miss Celie's in Hercules St Ashfield and is readily accessible by all forms if public transport, apart from ferries! There's great food from the kitchen and wonderful cocktails. Hope to see you all there!

Come along every second Monday night to Miss Celie's in Hercules St, Ashfield for the Gypsy Swing Jam. This week, (15th July), while Cameron Jones swans his way around the guitarista hangouts in Paris, Richard Ashby, fabulous guitarist and all round nice bloke joins David J Seidel and Marcus Peter Holden (moi) to whip up some swinging acoustic jazz! We start at 7pm and finish up around 10pm. There's lots of excellent food and exotic bevies to be had. Hope to see you all this Monday. Cone and join the jam!

Last night in Malaga. It's definitely becoming a tourist town. Back to Madrid tomorrow and then home. 5 weeks of wandering around Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy and finally Spain. Some amazing sights and highlights. But this restaurant in a back alley near the plaza Merced is incredible. The best Venezuelan food on earth..in malaga....

Ola from somewhere near Granada Spain, on the RENFE heading back to Malaga. Now, isn't this a great idea. Why can't our polies legislate this? A plastic bottle where the cap doesn't detach and wind up in our waterways or as landfill.

Happy Good Friday! Or is it Good Happy Friday. Here's a little photo of our last Gypsy Swing Jam and (almost) all the players that turned up. What a joy it is to play music with my friends and colleagues! We'll be reconvening on Monday, April 1st, which is also Easter Monday and April Fools day. We start at 7pm and finish around 10pm. Miss Celie's is located in Hercules St Ashfield and it's a cinch to get to by public transport with buses from Liverpool road and Ashfield station close by. Come and sit in with us and enjoy the terrific atmosphere. See you all then!

Hi there Djangoholics
Cameron Jones, Dave Seidel and I will be playing at the fabulous Salisbury Hotel in Stanmore (St. Anmore) this Wednesday night 27th March.
We are really excited to be playing some groovy, svingink music in this newly jazzified venue.
Any jammers that want to come along are most welcome.
We kick off at 7ppm and wrap up around 10pm.
The Salisbry Hotel is located on percival rd, Stanmore right near the corner of Douglas and Temple sts, etc and across from Stanmore railway station.
Look forward to seeing you all there!

Hey Everyone. Welcome to the unMundane Monday.
Yes, you heard it here, first.
The Gypsy Swing Jam is moving to Mondays (I love Mundaze!).
So, if you a budding Gypsy Jazzer, be it guitar, double bass, violin, winds (like clarinet, even trumpet), cello etc (bascially any acoustic type instrument) or you just lurve this style of hypnotic music, we'd love to see you down at Miss Celies on the first Monday of the month!
Last month we had Sol Grimshaw (Whiz Kid) all the way from the UK, sitting in with us and you never know who will turn up to Sydney's best live music venue.
Miss Celies also has a fanastic kitchen serving all manner of mouth watering food and great beers, wines and spirits. There's bound to be people you know just hanging out for the vibe and there's msuic virtually every night of the week. Miss Celies is in Hercules St Ashfield (Sydney), 1 mintue from Ashfield Station and the buses on Liverpool Road.
Let's hope we'll see you there!

To everyone who rolled up to our gig in Fox Lane, last Saturday thanks heaps. We had a great time with lots of guests sitting in.
We're back at Miss Celies this Tuesday, Feb 6th for our regular Gypsy Swing Jam featuring a very special secret guest (all the way from the UK) as well as Cameron Jones on Guitar and Dave Seidel on Double Bass.
We'd love to see you all there, and please remember to bring your friends, students and instruments!
Miss Celies is located in Hercules St Ashfield, right near the train station, so come along and join the fun.
