Vocal Resilience for Educators 02/08/2026

Our friends over at ASME Qld are pleased to announce a new webinar this Tuesday 4 August from 4-5.30pm – Vocal Resilience for Educators with Laura Kennedy.

This webinar gives music educators a practical understanding of how to build vocal resilience and efficiency in the workplace. It will cover the everyday techniques to protect vocal health – from managing vocal load, incorporating vocal rest and resets, alongside classroom and rehearsal-specific strategies. Attendees will leave knowing the key signs that indicate vocal strain and when to seek assistance.

Laura Kennedy is the Director of Vocal Performance Centre, a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist, performer, and certified yoga instructor. She has extensive experience in helping clients reach their communicative potential as a speech pathologist, having completed additional training in voice therapy, singing, upper airway and breathing pattern disorders, and gender affirming voice training. When working with clients, she draws upon more than 25 years of experience and training in the performing arts as a singer, actor, and (questionable) dancer.

Non-members $25
