Halfway through Term 2 already š¤
This little video is just a small snapshot of what our lessons have looked like over the past few weeks - hands-on learning, confidence building, friendships, problem solving and so many little moments of growth along the way.
One thing thatās really important to us at Little Minds in Motion is that we donāt repeat the same program each term. Our sessions are designed as a continuum, meaning weāre always building on childrenās skills, extending their thinking and gently preparing them for the next stage of learning.
We still have so much more planned for the second half of the term and canāt wait to keep watching these little minds grow š
Little Minds in Motion

At Little Minds in Motion, we empower kids with skills and knowledge they need from Day 1 of school and beyond. As a primary school teacher and parent, it is clear in the classroom when a child has been armed with these basic skills. Little Minds in Motion aims to help your child with these fundamental, tangible skills, allowing them to walk through the classroom door with confidence. Our small gr

We had the BEST four days at our Holiday Program last week āØ
Across the week, we had 40 beautiful students join us - and honestly, the energy, creativity, and joy in the room was something special. Watching the kids walk in each day excited, curious, and ready to create is exactly why I love what I do.
This video captures a little glimpse into our Paws & Paint Lab with the incredibly talented artist Kerrie šØ The children were completely immersed - creating, exploring, and so proud of what they made. These are the moments that build confidence, independence, and a genuine love of learning (even if they just think theyāre having fun š).
A huge thank you as well to Miss Isabelle, who was there across all four days. She brought so much fun, warmth, and energy to each session, and the kids absolutely loved learning with her š
Itās always so much more than just a āholiday activityā - itās connection, creativity, and giving children the space to try, make, and feel proud of themselves.
We canāt wait to have Kerrie back for future holiday programs⦠itās always a favourite š
Thank you to all the families who joined us - we loved every minute!
I had the opportunity to share my journey at Tutorās Day Out as part of the panel⦠and it really took me back to why I started Little Minds in Motion in the first place š¤
As a teacher, my own boys went into school already confident with those foundational skills - they could read, write and navigate the basics with ease. And while I was so proud of them, a part of me couldnāt ignore how unfair that felt. Not every child gets that same start⦠simply because not every family knows whatās needed or where to begin.
That never sat right with me.
Little Minds in Motion was built from that feeling - to share the knowledge, the skills, and the āteacher lensā with families who just want their child to feel confident, capable and ready.
Iāve got you š¤
School holidays, a couple of big boxes⦠and somehow we ended up with a penguin š§
Itās always a good reminder for me - kids donāt need much.
It looks so simple, but theyāre doing so much⦠problem solving, creating, talking, negotiating, and building resilience when things donāt go to plan.
When we give them space (and something simple), their imagination does the rest - and thatās where the magic (and learning) really happens āØ
And in between all the real-life moments (and yes, screens included š), itās nice to see just how little they need to stay busy š¤

⨠Introducing Miss Raj āØ
Iām so excited to officially introduce Raj, who will be joining us at Little Minds in Motion from Term 2 š¤
Raj will be taking our new 11:30amā1:00pm sessions (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday), and I truly couldnāt think of a better fit for our LMiM families.
Raj is a warm, calm and incredibly empathetic educator who naturally builds strong, trusting relationships with children. She creates a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported and confident to give things a go - which is something we value so deeply here.
With years of teaching experience (including in the UK and Tasmania), Raj brings a beautiful balance of structure and creativity into her teaching. She has a real strength in hands-on learning and adapting to each childās individual needs, while also maintaining a calm and organised classroom.
What really stood out to me is her genuine care for childrenās wellbeing. She is currently furthering her knowledge through counselling studies, which adds another layer of understanding and support to the way she works with children.
Raj has recently moved to NSW and we feel so lucky to have her join our team. I know our families and children are going to absolutely love her.
We canāt wait for you to meet her š¤

Term 2 Availability Update š«
Weāve been so grateful for the incredible support this year. Over the past few weeks weāve had a large number of enquiries for our School Readiness program, and many of our Term 2 spots have already been filled.
To help accommodate the demand, weāve decided to open three new midday sessions starting next term:
š¤ Monday: 11:30am ā 1:00pm
š¤ Tuesday: 11:30am ā 1:00pm
š¤ Thursday: 11:30am ā 1:00pm
These sessions follow the same small group format (max. 6 children) and structured program that focuses on building the key foundations children need before starting school.
If youād like to enquire about a space, feel free to send us a message. If youāre ready to secure a spot, youāre welcome to book directly through our website.
With Term 2 approaching and many classes already full, we do recommend getting in touch sooner rather than later if youāre considering a place.
Thank you again to all the families who continue to support Little Minds in Motion - itās such a joy watching your little learners grow in confidence each week š¤

This quote really resonates.
Reading difficulties rarely appear out of nowhere in the later years of school. More often, they come from gaps in the early foundations - things like sound awareness, oral language, fine motor strength and early exposure to how print works.
The early years matter so much.
Not because children need to be pushed, but because gentle, intentional support early on can make learning to read feel far less overwhelming later.
When children have time to build these foundational skills in a playful, supportive way, theyāre more likely to step into school feeling confident rather than behind.
Itās exactly why early, foundational skills are at the core of our work at Little Minds in Motion.
Prevention is powerful.
And those little moments of learning early on can have a lasting impact. āØ

This one made me a little teary.
When Danniiās daughter first walked into our sessions, she was quite shy and often stood back while others jumped in. In such a short space of time, she has absolutely blossomed - now sheās one of the first to put her hand up and have a go. Watching that growth in confidence has been incredibly special.
It also helps that every child who walks through our doors is just as kind and encouraging as she is - that sense of safety and belonging makes all the difference. Knowing we can support children not just with school readiness, but with confidence too, is exactly why Little Minds in Motion exists.
Thank you, Dannii, for trusting us with your beautiful little one and for your incredibly kind words. Moments like this make everything we do here so worth it š¤
