🩵 Child Safety Week | 6–12 September 2026 🩵

This Child Safety Week, we are reminded that every conversation matters and that meaningful conversations must lead to action.

Creating a child-safe community means listening, asking questions, speaking up and responding when concerns are raised. Together, we all have a responsibility to ensure every child and young person feels safe, heard, valued and supported.

Throughout the week, we encourage our school community to reflect on how we can move from conversation to action and continue building a strong culture of child safety.

We also share a special message from Bishop Greg Bennet, highlighting the importance of safeguarding children and young people across our Catholic communities.

Join us for our annual Father’s Day Breakfast on Friday 4 September!

⏰ Please note the new start time: 7:30 am, with the event running until 9:00 am.

🥐 Food must be purchased via the CDF app prior to the event.
☕ Coffee vans will also be available at your own cost.

A prayer for World Grandparents Day - 26 July

God of all creation,
We thank You for the gift of our grandparents and all older people in our lives. Thank You for their love, wisdom, faith, and the many ways they enrich our families.

Bless them with good health, joy, and peace. Strengthen them in times of difficulty and help them to continue sharing their love and guidance with future generations.

Teach us to honour and respect them, to be patient and kind, and to cherish the gift of their presence.

Bless future generations with open hearts to learn from those who have gone before them. May they grow in wisdom, faith, compassion, and gratitude, building on the legacy of love passed down through their families.

God of endless love, unite young and old in gratitude and understanding as we journey together in faith.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

St Agatha’s student commended🎖️

YUVEN MENDIS

Mentioned in Victorian Legislative Assembly Melbourne sitting: Resident of Cranbourne Yuven Mendes, who is only eight years old was commended and celebrated for doing so much to ensure that our natural environment remains pristine able to be enjoyed by all.

He and his mother have begun taking long walks around beautiful parks, collecting litter out of concern for the local birds and small animals that might ingest and be harmed by them.

Yuven has now initiated a Rubbish Pick Up lunchtime club at school and encourages all students to be involved in keeping the school environment clean. Thanks Yuven!
