🌺🐘 Inclusive Cultural Celebration at Aspire Cranbourne East! 🐘🌺

Today, we celebrated Ganapathy Chaturthi by embracing and sharing the cultural traditions of one of our educators with the children. ❤️

During group time, we shared a story about Lord Ganesha, exploring how the festival is celebrated, the traditions behind it and why this celebration is meaningful to many families. 📖✨

The children were fascinated and curious to learn about Ganesha’s elephant head and his human-like form, asking questions and sharing their thoughts. 🐘💭

To extend their learning through creativity, the children created their own elephant artworks using paper plates, exploring shapes, colours and imagination. 🎨🐘

It was a beautiful opportunity to promote cultural inclusion, respect, curiosity and appreciation of different traditions within our learning community. 🌏🤝

A huge thank you to our beautiful Aspire family for coming together and donating generously to our Community Pantry. 🥫🛍️

Our Community Pantry is a give-and-take pantry for our families, where families can donate items they no longer need and take what they may need. Your kindness, generosity and support can make a real difference to families in our community.

We are so proud of our Aspire community for showing that small acts of kindness can create a big impact. 🌟

🌱 School Readiness Program – Building Connections with Casey Primary School

As part of our School Readiness Program, our Kindergarten children have been building meaningful connections with their local school community through our ongoing partnership with Casey Primary School.

We were very fortunate to welcome Ms Samantha, Assistant Principal, and Ms Lauren, Prep Teacher, who joined our Kindergarten children for a special school-readiness session. The children were introduced to familiar aspects of the school environment through engaging resources and discussions. They explored printed images of different areas within the school, including the classrooms, oval, playground, sandpit and literacy spaces. The children were also introduced to a school bag and school uniform, helping them develop a greater understanding of what their future school experience may look and feel like.

These experiences support children to become familiar with the school environment, build confidence, ask questions and develop a positive attitude towards their transition to school.

📚 What’s coming next?
Throughout this term, our Kindergarten children will also have the opportunity to participate in a Zoom session with Prep children from Casey Primary School. This will allow them to connect with children who are already experiencing school life and encourage conversations about their experiences.

We are also looking forward to further visits from Casey Primary School during Term 4, continuing to strengthen the relationship between our Kindergarten program and our local school community.

🤝 These ongoing connections support our goal of building continuous relationships with our immediate community and creating a strong bridge between early childhood education and the school environment.

Through these meaningful experiences, we are supporting children to feel connected, confident, informed and excited about their transition to school. 🌟

💛🌻 R U OK? Day at Aspire Cranbourne East 🌻💛

Today, we came together to remind our children, families, educators and wider community that a simple conversation can make a big difference. 💕

As a small gesture of kindness, we shared delicious cupcakes with our community and surprised our wonderful educators with special R U OK? cookies 🧁🍪💛.

More than a sweet treat, it was a beautiful reminder to check in, listen, connect and care for one another. Sometimes, simply asking “Are you okay?” can open the door to a meaningful conversation. 🌻

Let’s continue to create a community where everyone feels heard, supported, valued and connected. 🤝💛

🧸🎭 A Magical Puppet Show at Aspire Cranbourne East! ✨

Our children had an absolutely wonderful time during our special Puppet Show! 🥰🎭 The room came alive with laughter, excitement, curiosity and lots of little smiles.

The children were introduced to some adorable puppet friends — Vern the Bird 🐦, Palsy the Dog 🐶, Stamper the Elephant 🐘 and Larry the Llama 🦙! Each character brought their own personality and helped make the experience fun, engaging and memorable.

Our little learners were completely captivated, watching closely, responding to the characters and becoming immersed in the wonderful world of puppetry. Through this interactive experience, children were encouraged to listen, communicate, use their imagination, express emotions and build confidence.

It was beautiful to see their faces light up as the puppets came to life! 💕✨

🎨🖤💛❤️ Connecting Through Art, Culture & Creativity 🖤💛❤️

Our Marigold children were engaged in a beautiful Aboriginal-inspired painting experience, exploring colours, patterns and creative expression. 🎨✨

The children painted pop sticks to create their own mini versions inspired by traditional clapping sticks, carefully choosing colours and creating their own unique patterns.

Through this hands-on experience, children were encouraged to explore Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, develop an appreciation for culture and express their creativity through art. 🌿✨

It was wonderful to see the children’s concentration, curiosity and pride as they created their beautiful artworks. 💕

What a wonderful day of fun, laughter and connection as we celebrated the amazing fathers and father figures in our Aspire Cranbourne East community! 👨‍👧‍👦✨

Our fathers and children came together to enjoy a variety of fun sports and active games, cheering each other on, showing teamwork and creating beautiful memories together. ⚽🏃‍♂️🏀🎯
