💜 WEAR IT PURPLE DAY 2026 💜

Today our school was filled with purple as staff and students came together to celebrate Wear It Purple Day promoting kindness, inclusion and acceptance. 🌈✨

A wonderful reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, supported and proud of who they are!

On Friday we celebrated our littlest learners in school who have achieved their first 100 days of school! Our Prep students had a wonderful "100 days brighter" with lots of fun to celebrate this very special accomplishment. Thanks to all the Prep Team for making the first 100 days of learning so incredibly special 🥳🤩

How beautiful are these quilts? We are so lucky to have received the most amazing donation from Fiona Gavens. Fiona is a retired quilter and textile designer who has worked with early childhood educators and speech therapists to design these multi-dimensional quilts, creating a foundation for play. We know our students are going to love these. Fiona - thank you for your care and generosity 😍👏

Excitement is building! The student's asked - and we LOVE student voice...Let's support the Socceroos on Friday by dressing in Green and Gold! 💚💛

On Friday we are having a Silly Sock Day...why? Just because we can! The school captains thought this would be a great way to bring some fun into the school for everyone. So, find your silliest pair of socks and let's see some smiles! Thanks to our school captain Will, for making such a brilliant poster.

Join Speaking Insights on Wednesday 17th June. Daniel and Daryl will be presenting Daniel's journey from diagnosis to present day. Having seen this talk firsthand, it is really impactful. Tickets are available through the QR code in the poster. Any families of students at Marra will be able to access a 20% discount with the code provided (check your compass posts!)

Thank you to everyone who came to visit us for a sausage at Bunnings today. It was brilliant to see families, friends, staff and some of our wonderful students popping in to say hello. A huge thank you to all the people who helped, we seriously could not have done it without your brilliant support. The biggest thanks need to go to Tammy and Marnie who have been tirelessly working behind the scenes to get everything we needed for the day and have been working their socks off since 7am this morning. We think we have raised about $2000 (final figures will be calculated on Tuesday!) which is an amazing start to our minibus fund! 🫶🚍💚❤️

Just over a week ago we celebrated our amazing Educational Support Staff team. We could not do what we do every day without the support of this wonderful group of people. Our ES team consists of classroom support, Admin, IT, Allied Health and Wellbeing. So many different strengths that make our team what it is. Thank you for everything that each and every one of you do every single day 🫶👏💛
