It’s not always about making money for Lions projects, but about providing a service for our Community.

Lions were happy to join in the Family Farm Day, cooking sausages and also helping with the fun. 😁 🥳

Lions Lucy and Sue helping with the serving;
Lions Barry, Freddie and Phil helping out with the barbecue;
Lion Graham and book bug Nikki were helping out spraying colours on the colour run participants.

It was a Wonderful Day full of fun and adventure for the youth of our community (as well as the young-at-heart ;-) ) 😍

The Book Bug had simply THE best Book Week adventure this year. She visited her friends at Holman Place School!

We read a book about a Very Windy Day 💨💨

Thank goodness it wasn't too windy for us though, or we might have been blown away!!

The students were very attentive and were keen to find books afterwards that they could keep. Some students liked books about magic, some about science, some liked books about the movie Frozen.... there was an enormous assortment of interests.

The Book Bug loved sharing her books and is grateful to Principal Miss Kylie and everyone at Holman Place School for making her feel so welcome. 🐞💨🐞😍

WooHOOOO!!!

Thank you to EVERYONE who has contributed to our Term 2 School Holiday efforts to keep our young people reading!!

2909 books have reached the hands of little readers through our Book Bug project since we started providing free pre-loved children's books in Cowra and surrounds.

That's 2909 more opportunities to improve literacy in our younger generation. 2909 opportunities to provide everything from building imagination through to keeping our young people out of the justice system in later life.

Literacy is a cornerstone of a thriving community.
