🎉 COONA DROP-IN IS NOW OPEN TWICE A WEEK!
Coona Drop-In is now open every Tuesday and Thursday during school terms, giving young people aged 11 years and over a welcoming place to spend time after school.

Coona Drop-In offers a range of free activities including basketball, pool, table tennis, arts and crafts, afternoon tea and plenty of opportunities to make friends and have fun.

☀️🚗 AUSTRALIA'S LEADING SOLAR CAR IS COMING TO COONABARABRAN OOSH VACATION CARE! 🚗☀️
We're excited to welcome Unlimited 6.0, Australia's leading solar car, and the Western Sydney Solar Team to Coonabarabran OOSH Vacation Care on Wednesday 15 July as part of the team's Regional NSW Roadshow.

As part of their Science Day, our students will have the opportunity to meet the team and see Unlimited 6.0 up close. They've been learning all about solar power and the engineering behind cars, making this an exciting opportunity to bring their learning to life.

Afterwards, Unlimited 6.0 will be on display at the Coonabarabran Visitor Information Centre. Pop along to see this incredible solar-powered vehicle up close, meet the team, and ask questions about the technology, engineering and innovation behind it.

The Western Sydney Solar Car Team is made up of 25 students from Western Sydney University who design, build and race world-class solar vehicles, continually pushing the boundaries of engineering and advanced manufacturing.

We can't wait to welcome the team and inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators! 🌞💙

🌿💚 Connect Five Celebrates the Launch of Bush Kindy! 💚🌿
What better way to celebrate International Mud Day than with a morning of outdoor adventure?

On Monday 29 June, Connect Five Mobile Children's Services joined Three Rivers Landcare Dunedoo Coolah Mendooran to celebrate the launch of Bush Kindy at the Dunedoo Woodlands Outdoor Learning Centre.

Children of all ages explored the outdoors through nature-based play, creating playdough masterpieces with sticks, leaves and flowers, mixing herbal potions in the mud kitchen, mud painting, bark painting, storytelling and discovering the beautiful woodlands. It was a morning full of curiosity, creativity and plenty of muddy fun! 🌱🍃

We're excited to share that Connect Five is planning to hold some future Dunedoo play sessions at the Dunedoo Woodlands Outdoor Learning Centre.

Join us for a magical adventure into nature where little explorers can learn through play, connect with the environment, and create lasting memories.

Come along for our launch event on June 29th 9.30am at our ‘Dunedoo Woodlands Outdoor Learning Centre’ There will be fun activities, storytelling, and plenty of opportunities to explore in free play. Let’s nurture the love for nature in our children!

You’ll also be able to see Connect Five’s new ute and help name it and enter the design competition.

COONA DROP IN RELAUNCH
The Coona Drop In Centre is being relaunched, providing a safe and welcoming space for young people in Coonabarabran to connect, socialise, and take part in activities.

Come along and share your ideas and help shape how the space is used moving forward.

🌟 CONNECT FIVE – TERM 2 UPDATE
We’re trying something new for Term 2.

Connect Five is introducing Community Gathering pop-up sessions in towns across the Warrumbungle Shire, making it easier for families to connect, learn, and have fun together.

Join our Early Childhood educators for a one-hour session in your town, with either a morning or afternoon option available.

Our educators will be offering:
- A fun and engaging Munch & Move session
- Story time or music session
- Healthy morning or afternoon tea
- Access to Toy Library resources
- Special community visitors at selected sessions

Come along, meet other families, and find out more about what Connect Five has to offer.

🌿 IMPROVING SAFETY AT CHILDREN’S SERVICES
Recent maintenance works have helped improve safety across both campuses while also providing some unexpected excitement for the children.

Tree trimming and removal works were recently undertaken to address several trees affected by disease and to ensure the area remains safe for children, families and staff. While the works were carried out the children had a great time watching the machinery and workers in action from inside the building. The activity sparked plenty of curiosity and discussion as the children observed the different equipment and the process involved in safely removing the trees.

Other improvements have also been completed across children’s services including the installation of new parking lines and a new entry gate and fence at the Yuluwirri entrance, further improving car park safety and helping create a safer environment for everyone using the service.
