👨‍💻 Take a look on the latest findings about plastic in the ocean.

See... with Covid upon us, urgent mitigations were put in place to reduce cross-contamination and the spread of the virus. Awesome!
Could we learn anything about urgent mitigations to SAVE THE PLANET?! Or, do we have to wait to start getting sick from plastic poisoning from our "fish and chips"?

New research from Australia’s national science agency shows a huge amount of ocean plastic ends up on land, where it gets trapped.

👨‍🎓🐠 Learning everyday while watching nature underwater
In my experience as High School teacher and Universities, I see that most of the basics in ecology can be well understood in excursions. The problem is...we keep asking students to fill out booklets while still in the excursion :( this is boring and, in my opinion, there are better ways for students to communicate their learnings; could it be, creating a video? or drawing, making a photo album?

🐠🐳 They might no be as bright and colourful as coral reefs, but they are of same importance for marine life. Our seaweeds form the perfect habitat for juvenile fish to grow and seek refuge. There are hundreds of marine invertebrates that would not survive without the presence of macroalgae. Do we get to see and other everywhere in the harbour and in the beaches around? Are they disappearing?🤷
