Hard to believe the conference was a whole week ago already!
Reflections on the day are flowing in, and this feedback from one of our delegates really encapsulates what we were trying to achieve as organisers. Our mob must be front and centre in these conversations.
"The workshop presentations were well put together and the presenters were knowledgeable in their areas... I really enjoyed them and felt greedy for wanting more time in each workshop. The #1 thing I've taken away from the conference is how many First Nation educators are not just involved but leading in this space. It makes me so proud. Look forward to future conferences."

Our Closing Panel was a wonderful way to close out our conference with a yarn on reconciliation in our schools! 💛🖤❤️
Our closing panel brought together voices and perspectives that enriched our understanding of what meaningful reconciliation can look like in education and across our school communities.
We were honoured to be joined by representatives from The Murri School, Reconciliation Australia and Reconciliation Queensland Inc, and we truly valued the knowledge, experience and insights they shared with us.
Thank you to our panellists for their generosity and for inspiring us to continue the important work of reconciliation in our schools. It was a powerful and meaningful way to finish our discussions. 🌿

It was incredible to bring people together from so many different places, backgrounds and communities for a shared day of listening, learning and connecting.
The energy, conversations and connections made throughout the day were truly special. ❤️

Did you get a chance to check out all our incredible exhibitors last Friday? We loved having Deb Belyea from Zeyawgub Consultancy not only exhibiting but also on the program presenting a workshop on The Importance of Cultural Identity for the Torres Strait Islander Child. Did you catch Deb's workshop?

What a privilege it was to begin our day of learning last week in such a meaningful way.
We were deeply honoured to welcome a Traditional Owner from the Turrbal people, alongside the Nunukul Yuggera dancers, who shared a beautiful Welcome to Country with us.
Beginning our day by acknowledging Country, culture, history and connection was a powerful reminder of the importance of respecting cultural protocols and creating space to listen, learn and understand.
We are incredibly grateful for the time, knowledge and culture shared with us. ❤️
A truly special way to start a day of learning... with respect, connection and an open heart.
