A huge congratulations to our recent Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care Tuesday class.

We’re incredibly proud to celebrate our students on successfully completing their course. Many have now completed their placements, while others are continuing to gain valuable hands-on experience in the early childhood sector.

A special thank you to trainer Lara for her dedication, encouragement and commitment throughout the course. Supporting students who were studying for the first time and navigating English as a second language, Lara went above and beyond by providing additional time, one-on-one guidance and ongoing support.

We’d also like to thank Bandana Mehra from Blessing All Ways Family daycare for visiting the class and sharing valuable insights into career opportunities within the early childhood sector.

Congratulations to all our graduates! We wish you every success as you begin your careers as Early Childhood Educators.

Earlier this week, students from Sundus’s Certificate IV in School Based Education Support class at our Epping campus put their learning into practice through their Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD) case study assignments.

Students researched their case studies and delivered excellent presentations, demonstrating strong knowledge, confidence and professionalism. 👏

These presentations are more than just an assessment — they’re helping students build the communication, research and presentation skills they’ll need to make a meaningful difference in the education support sector.

We’re proud to see our students growing in confidence and preparing for rewarding careers supporting school-aged children.

Our CHC30125 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care students at Craigieburn Campus recently completed the 'Work with diverse people' unit facilitated by trainer Sundus.

Sundus shared how teaching students from diverse backgrounds has reinforced the importance of creating an inclusive learning environment where everyone feels respected, valued and confident to express themselves.

“The greatest achievement as a teacher is seeing students express themselves without hesitation and feel they are part of a supportive community.”

Through the session, students built confidence, celebrated their differences and learned from one another — creating a positive and inclusive learning experience for everyone.

Term 3 is off to a great start for our Supported Playgroups program, with families across our Northern and Western playgroups taking part in a range of engaging activities and community sessions.

One of the highlights has been Dental Health Week, with visits from community partners The Tooth Wagon and Chompers providing families with valuable information about children’s oral health. Families also participated in a Waste and Litter Education session with Wyndham City Council and information sessions delivered by the Parent Pathways team.

These partnerships play an important role in connecting families with practical information, local services and support networks, helping families build confidence, feel connected and thrive in their communities.

Here are some photos from our recent playgroup activities and sessions:

Our Braybrook students recently welcomed Chrissy from the Association for Children with a Disability (ACD) for an informative session about the valuable support available to families of children with disability or developmental delay.

Students learnt about ACD's free services, including information, peer support and telephone advocacy, as well as how families can access trusted resources through the ACD website and support line. The session also highlighted how ACD empowers parents and carers to confidently navigate childcare, kindergarten, school and the NDIS.

Thank you to Chrissy for sharing her knowledge and helping our students build a greater understanding of the supports available to the families and communities they will work with in the future.

We’re excited to share a preview of our new animation, Cyber Safety: Voices of the Children.

Created with children, parents and families from our community, this animation helps young people recognise online risks, respond to cyber bullying, and stay safe in the digital world.

Developed through a year-long co-design project, children shared their ideas, artwork and voices to help create a resource that reflects their experiences and empowers other young people to stay safe online.

This is just a preview — visit our website to watch the full animation and learn more about the project.

Proudly funded through the Communities for Children (CfC) Hume initiative.
