In the Kookaburras Room (4 year old Kinder), our children have been exploring Italian language and culture through our ELLA program. šŸ‡®šŸ‡¹

Our room has been transformed into a beautiful Italian Art Gallery, showcasing the childrenā€™s creativity and their growing understanding of Italian culture through art.

And who better to give us a tour than one of our very own little artists? Watching them confidently guide us through the gallery, sharing the different artworks and proudly talking about what they have been learning, was such a beautiful way to see their confidence, communication and sense of pride shine through.

EYLF Outcome 5: Children are effective communicators. Experiences like this encourage children to use language, share their ideas and confidently communicate their learning with others.

Little look back at our Fatherā€™s Day celebrations across our rooms.

Our children had such a special time celebrating the wonderful dads, grandfathers and special people in their lives. From shared activities and handmade creations to lots of smiles, cuddles and quality time together, it was beautiful seeing our families making memories with their little ones.

Thank you to all our families who joined us and made our Fatherā€™s Day celebrations extra special. We hope you enjoyed it just as much as we did.

What began with World Storytelling Day has grown into a beautiful centre wide journey of stories, creativity, community and music.

Throughout the months, our children and families have brought favourite stories to life through art, explored our Book of the Month experiences, contributed to our Reading Nest Library and Story Box Library, and proudly shared their learning with the wider Ramlegh community.

Their stories continued to grow through drawings, learning displays and meaningful connections with home. Then, inspired by this yearā€™s Book Week theme, A Symphony of Stories, we extended our literacy journey even further by introducing piano lessons for our kindergarten children. šŸŽ¹

This journey shows how one story can spark so many opportunities for children to communicate, create, imagine, connect and build a lifelong love of learning.

EYLF Outcome 5, Children are effective communicators. Through stories, art, conversations, music and shared experiences, children are developing their confidence to express ideas and make meaning in many different ways.

Across some of our rooms, our children got creative making their very own musical instruments in preparation for our Book Week Parade! šŸ„

Through Story Box Library, each room explored a special story together, bringing books to life through digital storytelling. Inspired by the stories they watched and listened to, the children then created musical instruments connected to their chosen story, ready to showcase during our Symphony of Stories parade.

From filling and decorating to exploring different sounds, this experience encouraged creativity, fine motor development, language and a deeper connection between storytelling and music.

EYLF Outcome 4, Children are confident and involved learners: Children explored materials, sounds and ideas as they created instruments inspired by their StoryBox Hub stories.

NQS Quality Area 1, Educational Program and Practice: Educators extended childrenā€™s interest in stories by creating meaningful hands on experiences that connected literacy, music and creativity.
