What an incredible Book Week we’ve had at CBPS!

📖 Each class created their own book to share with our community.
🎭 Our annual Book Week Parade brought plenty of amazing characters to life!
🐙 Students hunted for hidden sea creatures from Beyond the Shore, read by Mr Irwin.
👕 Wear It Wednesday celebrated The Book With No Pictures.
✍️ Middle Primary hosted their Poetry Afternoon.
🌟 Author Katrina Germein visited and shared her love of writing with our students.
🧳 We announced the winners of our Suitcase Competition – congratulations!
🎻 Students had fun trying to identify staff on our Symphony of Staff wall.

It was a wonderful week celebrating books, creativity and a love of reading!

Our Wakakirri group are performing in the gym tomorrow morning at 8:50am (huddle will take place here). For anyone who hasn’t seen the performance, this is your last opportunity to see it!

Today our Upper Primary students participated in the NAIDOC March and the NAIDOC in the South community event.

We feel so priviledged to be a part of such a fantastic event, celebrating 50 Years of Deadly 🖤 💛 ❤️

This week our PBL focus is Giving Things a Go!

Families can support this at home by:
🧩 Encouraging children to try tasks independently before stepping in to help.
🌱 Trying something new together, such as a new game, recipe or activity.
💬 Using positive language like, “Have a go,” “It’s okay if you don’t get it right,” and “What could you try next?”
⭐ Celebrating effort and persistence, not just success.

Every attempt is a step towards learning, growing and building confidence.
