Craigslea State High School - Celebrating 50 Years

09/06/2025

It was wonderful to celebrate our 50th Anniversary on Saturday.

A special thank you to Glenn Wilkinson, Craigslea alumni (Class of 1980).
We are incredibly grateful to Glenn—now the Archival Producer for the 7 Network Brisbane—for uncovering a remarkable piece of Craigslea’s early history.

FAMILY TIES...

You know your school days must have been okay when you're prepared to send your children back to the same place you attended. We have lots of multi generational familes attending Craigslea SHS... who do you know that went to CSHS and then sent their children or even grandchildrenas well?? Plese leave a comment below.

In the spotlight today is The Whitby Family. Jo graduated in 2001 as Joanne Duncan. Jo's son Will is the first of her 3 children to attend Craigslea and he is also involved with CVA. Apparently Jo also played volleyball during her years at CSHS and was pushed onto the court by Mr Jakobi because he noticed how big her hands were 🤣👐🏻🏐.

A shout out to Alumni!

Let's see who can guess these 2 cuties from the Craigslea State High School Alumni. Fun Fact 2 of their 3 children also attended Craigslea SHS and both are still committed supporters of our community.

Don't forget to tag anyone you know that went to Craigslea State High School in the past, whther it was last year or 1975, let's get as many people on here as possible and share some memories.

Our uniforms haven’t always looked like this – do you have an old uniform lurking at the back of your wardrobe? Maybe a volleyball jersey from the 80’s? What about your senior Jersey? We’re putting together special memorabilia display for the 50th celebration! So go get that treasured uniform out of the cupboard and get ready to let it shine. Collections of memorabilia will begin 11 May 2025.

In the meantime feel free to share pics of old uniform in the comments below.

Remembering Them Today

On this Anzac Day, we take a moment to honor and remember all those from the Craigslea State High School community who have served. Whether they were fighting on distant battlefields, supporting humanitarian missions, or contributing to peacetime operations, their sacrifices deserve recognition.
