A friendly reminder to our families that this Friday (4 September) is a Curriculum Day at Yirrama Primary School. Students are not required to attend school on this day, so please make alternative arrangements for your child.

💛 BIG Childcare will be available for families who require all-day care for this day.

We’re excited to invite our wonderful families to join us for a special Father’s Day Afternoon at Yirrama Primary School!

Come along as we celebrate and honour all the incredible dads, father figures, grandads, uncles and special people in our students’ lives.

🤪🌈 Crazy Hair Day at Yirrama! 🌈🤪

There were some seriously wild hairstyles walking through the gates this morning! 😂

Today our students came to school sporting their craziest hair for Crazy Hair Day, a fundraiser organised by our wonderful SRC.

It has been so great to see everyone getting behind the day and having some fun, we’ve seen bright colours, crazy creations and some truly outrageous looks!

A big thank you to our SRC for organising the fundraiser and to our students, staff and families for getting involved and embracing the craziness!

We love seeing our Yirrama community come together to support our student-led initiatives.

📚✨ Book Week Fun Continues! ✨📚

Yesterday, our students had the opportunity to join Mrs S for a bookmark making workshop at recess as part of our Book Week celebrations!

The activity was a huge hit, with over 100 bookmarks created! Students let their creativity shine, decorating their bookmarks with colourful textas, stickers and tassels, and there were some fantastic creations! 🎨🔖

A big thank you to Mrs S for organising and running such a wonderful activity for our students. It has been fantastic to see so much excitement around books and reading throughout Book Week! 💙💛

What a fantastic way to kick off Book Week with our Book Week Parade this morning!

Our school was filled with an incredible collection of book characters, and we absolutely loved seeing the creativity and effort that went into all of the amazing costumes. A huge thank you to our families for helping bring so many favourite stories and characters to life! 💛

It was wonderful to have so many parents, carers and family members join us for the parade and celebrate our love of reading together.

And the fun is only just beginning… 📖🌟 We have lots of exciting Book Week activities planned throughout the week as we continue celebrating books, stories and the joy of reading.

Book Week is almost here, and we can’t wait to kick off the celebrations with our Book Week Parade on Monday morning!

Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character and join us for a wonderful celebration of books, reading and storytelling. 📖

It was wonderful to come together this morning for our Week 6 Assembly and celebrate another fantastic group of Yirrama students! 💙💛

A big congratulations to all of our Assembly Award winners. We love having the opportunity to recognise the effort, growth, kindness and achievements of our students and celebrate their successes as a school community. 👏

We also celebrated our Attendance Prize winners! 🎉 Congratulations to our winners, and a huge well done to all of our students who have been coming to school each day and arriving on time, ready to learn.

Our fundraising efforts have paid off! 🎉

We’re thrilled to announce that our brand-new playground will be installed from the beginning of Term 4. 🛝

What an exciting milestone for Yirrama Primary School. Our students will soon have another fantastic space to play, explore, challenge themselves and have fun with their friends.

A huge thank you to our amazing school community for getting behind our fundraising efforts and helping make this possible.

We can’t wait to see our students enjoying their new playground!
