Marg's Sewing Room

It’s been a bit quiet this term. A very sad few months, followed by a death of my dear friend.

We have been sewing on still with our Tuesday night classes making interesting projects.

Thursday morning sessions are back in full force and we are looking forward to in completing some great works this year.

Annie came to a retreat weekend and finished off a UFO. Her quilt was Illusions. Now we all know thats my jam nothing like a job complete.

It was a great weekend we even did some tricky puzzles and got a few games of Sequence went to the local for Trivia and a meal.
Was a nice relaxing time.

Sashiko has been popular in the sewing room this term, along with quilts in process and some appliqué. I've been prepping for a Christmas workshop on felt ornaments and Christmas appliques for table runners and placemats, which should be exciting and a very creative event.
Saturday, the 15th of November, should be a fun-packed day. For more information, please contact me.

School holidays are nearly at an end, however we have been very busy in the room. Trish finished a gift of a camp quilt for her son-in- law. Tara is busy with another Sashico piece Shaz is waiting on surgery for her shoulder. We all can’t wait for her return. I’m in the middle of an appliqué for a runner for a future class and still doing my quiit as you go blue quilt. Stay tuned for more exciting projects.

We’ve had some great stuff happening in the room. Trish is finishing UFO and started a crochet rug. Tabatha was making bowl covers. Tab is taking a sabbatical working out yonda. Tara completed her embroidery picture. ( Previously posted)
I’ve been recovering a chair and made a reading nook out of an old mattress for my granddaughter with a matching pillow. I think I could even lay on that one. Anyway stay tuned be posted in the next couple of weeks with more great works.

Today I, (Tara), have completed my first Sashiko picture. I’m new to this so you may notice a few mistakes, but on the whole I kinda like it.

Great works are happening in the room over the last few weeks. Tabatha with her beautiful wall hanging all but finished. Great work Tab!
Trish sandwich a great quilt that we will show it’s a gift. She was finishing the first big block ready for the next step.
Tara is working & planning her next quilt stay tuned.
I’ve been working on a quilt as you go for my sister. She will love it I’m sure.
