Stratheden Public School is lucky to have a number of Patrons who support our school. The present patrons are Noela Hayward, Michelle Brindell, Toni Northfield, Kristy Sullivan, Pam Sullivan, Doug Bennett and Lennie West.

Stratheden Public School encourages the students to help others. In 2025, the SRC supported the Cancer Council, Kid's Cancer Project and the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The school also supports the St.Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers each year as a way of giving back to the community.

Stratheden Public School extends its sympathy to the Hogan Family on the passing of Sister Monica Hogan. Sister Monica commenced her schooling at Stratheden in 1941. She opened our Memorial Garden with her sister-in-law, Carolyn Hogan, and with Noela Hayward in 2021.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Our SRC supports two charities each year. This year they have raised funds for the Cancer Council and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

On Friday, our students were able to speak, via the internet, with a young boy, Jedd Schultz, who has travelled with the Royal Flying Doctor Service when he had appendicitis, Jedd flew from Tennant Creek to Alice Springs. Our students asked Jedd a number of questions including whether he had been scared and what did he see.

This was a great experience for our students to understand what they were supporting. Thanks Jedd.
