⛏️⛏️✨ Grade 5 has been learning about the Gold Rush, so we got the chance to go on an excursion to Eureka Creek. We got to do lots of activities involving teamwork and participation. The grade five cohort experienced the life of a gold miner by panning for gold and exploring a small town. These activities required patience while panning for gold and acting. We dressed up in costume to create the realism of being in the 1800s. Activities that required teamwork gave us the opportunity to communicate with peers. Activities like mapping needed concentration which we successfully completed. We observed how to make common foods that gold miners ate like damper which everyone enjoyed. Grade five got to get their miner's licence and had an awesome time looking for gold.

🇮🇹🎭 On Tuesday, our students enjoyed the interactive Italian theatrical performance La Favola dell’Ingrediente Segreto.
Filled with original songs, storytelling and plenty of student participation, the show was a fun and engaging way for students to celebrate their knowledge of Italian language and culture. Bravo! 👏✨
