I am a loving mum with 12 yrs experience and three beautiful children. I'm registered with Lake Macquarie Family Day Care and am fully qualified. We have an Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) based program - as set in all daycare centres throughout Australia. Our scheme is exceeding the National Quality Standards in child care.

My daughter has been going to Dee's Place for almost 2 years and she loves it! Dee is the most gentle, accommodating woman with a passion for what she does. She has the best setup at home for her family daycare including an undercover outdoor area which allows the kids to play outside in the fresh air regardless of the weather. She incorporates natural resources into her daily activities with the children and informs us what EYLF Learning Outcomes the children have worked through that day. Dee’s place was the first place we had ever left our first child other than with family but our son just took to Dee so quickly on the first meeting and settled in so easily it made returning to work much less stressful. It went so well with our first child from age 22 months that there was no other place we would have considered to send out second child when he was 14 months old. I had full confidence and trust in Dee and felt like I was leaving my children with family the way they were with each other. The actual set up at Dee’s place was perfect for play and development, it included an indoor area with various toys and educational opportunities plus a flat outdoor area with a variety of experiences from gardening to driving toy cars and trikes. Dee was also great for advice when I asked her thoughts on all things from toilet training to things kids like to eat and also with some challenging behaviours as she not only had the training in such areas but also had three wonderful children she had experienced such matters with.Courtesy of Karen
My son has been attending Dee's Place since he was 6 months old. Dee always makes you and your child feel very welcome in her home and her family. She has a great set up for the kids (both inside and a big backyard outside with covered areas for play) and every child matters. What I really love, that I don't hear many other FDC educators or day cares so, is a daily rundown email of what the children have done and pictures to show how much fun they've had at Dee's Place! Our son Started at Dee's place aged 2yrs. He was not yet walking or talking due to a moderate developmental delay. Dee welcomed him into her care & showed endless enthusiasm & dedication to helping our son reach his milestones. Our son has flourished in Dee's care.
