Food Allergy Week 2026 runs from 10–30 May, and is an important reminder for our community about the seriousness of food allergies and anaphylaxis.
At our centre, we understand how vital it is to create a safe and inclusive environment for all children. Food allergies can be life-threatening, so awareness, clear communication, and careful practices are essential in helping keep every child safe.
This week encourages everyone to learn more about food allergies, recognise the signs of an allergic reaction, and understand the importance of following allergy-safe procedures at all times.
Together, we can continue to build a safe, supportive environment where all children can learn, play, and thrive with confidence. 💙

We used cardboard boxes collected from the centre to create a fun and engaging stacking experience for the Nursery 2 children.
The children explored pulling apart tape and moving boxes, strengthening their fine motor skills and hand strength. Working together, they collaborated to build tall towers, developing their social skills, cooperation, and hand-eye coordination.
Through stacking different shapes and sizes, the children were also problem-solving, exploring balance, and learning about spatial relationships. There was lots of excitement when the towers came tumbling down, supporting their understanding of cause and effect.
A great hands-on experience that supported independence, concentration, and early STEM learning through play in Nursery 2.

Our Toddlers enjoyed a fun physical activity designed to support their hand–eye coordination by aiming and throwing balls into a bucket 🏀✨
Educator Sina demonstrated the activity first, showing the children how to aim and throw the ball. The children were very excited and eagerly waited for their turn.
During the activity, most children stood back and practiced throwing the ball into the bucket, while some chose to move closer and place the ball inside. Both approaches were supported as the children explored the activity in their own way.
This experience encouraged participation, coordination skills, confidence, and turn-taking, while also supporting gross motor development and social interaction 🌟

Last Thursday, our Kindy children were so fortunate to be joined by one of our wonderful parents, Cliantha, who is a Speech Pathologist. 💬✨
Cliantha shared valuable information with our educators about speech and language milestones, practical strategies to support children’s speech development, and fun games and activities to help improve pronunciation and communication skills.
She also kindly spent time with our Kindy children, providing guidance and strategies to support communication within the classroom environment. It was such a wonderful opportunity for us to build our knowledge and confidence in supporting children’s language development.
A huge thank you to Cliantha for taking the time to share her expertise with us — we truly appreciate this amazing opportunity and your ongoing support of our centre and children. 💛

Drawing is a very important part of learning for our Nursery 2 children ✏️✨
At this age, drawing is much more than just marks on paper — it is how children begin to express their thoughts, ideas, and feelings. It gives them a way to communicate before they are fully confident with words.
Through drawing, our Nursery 2 children are also developing their fine motor skills. Holding pencils, crayons, and paint tools helps strengthen their hand muscles, which supports future skills like writing, cutting, and self-help tasks.
Drawing also encourages creativity and imagination. The children explore different colours, shapes, and lines, making their own choices and building confidence in their ideas 🌈
It is always wonderful to see our Nursery 2 children proudly share their drawings and talk about their creations, building both language and self-esteem along the way 💛

🐝💛 World Bee Day – Wednesday 20th May 💛🐝
To celebrate World Bee Day, we invite all children to come dressed in YELLOW on Wednesday 20th May!
This is a fun way for us to learn about the importance of bees and how they help our environment by pollinating flowers, fruits, and vegetables. 🐝🌼
Throughout the day, the children will take part in engaging experiences and discussions about bees, nature, and how we can help protect our little buzzing friends.
We can’t wait to see a hive of bright yellow outfits in the centre! 💛✨

Our Toddlers have been exploring Djeran – Autumn through a beautiful painting experience 🎨🍂
The children created special artwork inspired by the season using real leaves as their base. They carefully used cotton tips to paint, practicing gentle dabbing and dotting techniques to decorate their leaves.
They chose a variety of colours such as blue, purple, and yellow, representing the changing environment and their own creative interpretations of Autumn. This experience supported their fine motor skills, creativity, and connection to nature in a calm and engaging way 🌿✨
