Gardening with Grands is Back! 🌱
Do you know what a radish tastes like? Why the seeds are blue? Or how far apart they should be planted? Our Year 2 Garnets do after spending a sunny afternoon in our newly revamped garden with the Grands!
Together they planted radishes, shared stories, learnt new gardening skills, and enjoyed plenty of laughs.
Our Gardening with Grands program is a special opportunity to connect generations, grow friendships, and learn together. We can't wait to watch our radishes grow—and enjoy the harvest!

The Opals enjoyed planting flower bulbs as part of the Floriade Community Bulb Donation Program. This hands-on experience helped them learn about how plants grow while caring for our school environment. We can't wait to watch the beautiful blooms appear in spring and brighten our school grounds!

This term in performing arts, students have been exploring the big idea "I wonder how I can use my body to communicate?". Through drama, we have been looking at how using our facial expressions, body language and voice can convey feelings and emotions to tell a story. Over the past few weeks all classes have performed - solo! - on the stage to recite a monologue of 'This Tooth', a poem by Lee Bennett Hopkins. Be sure to ask your child for a performance at home!

"The Corals had a magical morning on our Being on Country walk to Isabella Pond last week. 🌿🦆
We explored the water, spotted native birds, built with natural materials, and even discovered a “swing” that sparked great teamwork and problem‑solving. The children also noticed lots of graffiti along the way, leading to thoughtful conversations about caring for Country and our community. We can’t wait to return next term to see what’s changed and what new wonders we’ll discover! ✨"

K-2 children have been applying their STEM knowledge in Makerspace as they investigate what makes things move in Physical Sciences. We have been conducting experiments with various objects to see how they move including sliding and rolling. Year 1 and 2 students are designing their dream playgrounds with the added challenge of making moving parts. It has been great to see students problem solve, test ideas and bring their creative engineering thinking to life!
