Another successful repair of a well-loved teddy. Poor teddy had some split seams and needed a freshen up and new stuffing.
Old stuffing removed, wash & spa treatment, new stuffing inserted, seams fixed and then fur was fluffed up until it looked almost new!
Hope teddy's owner is happy!

Another donated teddy bear kit finished. This one's called Pearl. She'll be donated to the children in hospital too thanks to Kathryn. :)

Poor little Teddy lost both his arms. His young owner didn't want any other repairs done, just put his arms back on so they move again. I darned a few little holes and fixed the splitting fur around his shoulder joints. I thought his legs were fixed but discovered they were jointed as well, just very stiff. Very difficult job but finally got it done. Hope Teddy's little man is happy! :)

Even though I haven't been making & selling teddies for a while now, I've been kept busy repairing quite a few much loved companions. I don't charge much, just for materials required and my time. Finally got to the bank to share some with Love Your Sister!

Another teddy needing repair after playing with a puppy! Otter's arm was torn off. :( Fairly easy repair luckily! :)

Another repaired teddy! "Pwenghwin" had a broken eye which had fallen out, and he also needed to be fattened up a bit. His owner Patrick decided not to replace with two new eyes, but just put the broken one back in. Successful surgery, bit of fattening up and a bit of freshening up. Back home ready to continue giving lots of cuddles & love to his boy. :)

A friend gifted me a few "Sew Your Own Teddy" kits, plus another that just needed stuffing. One kit was already cut out but I got quite confused when putting it together. It just didn't seem right. After much Googling I found a picture of this kit & realised it's a sleepy teddy, which is why it was called Dozee May! That's why it wouldn't sit up! :)
Both teddies have been returned to Kathryn. She will be donating them to the Childrens Ward at Canberra Hospital. :)
(I forgot to take a photo of the first teddy, but I didn't actually sew it so can't take credit.)

"Kanga" was showing her age. She just needed a bit of freshening up and Baby "Roo" was falling out of her pouch. Her owner mentioned that Kanga had red boxing gloves at some stage.
Kanga was given a good clean to remove some stains, and Roo was anchored back into her pouch. I also made her some boxing gloves!
Just before she was collected I discovered that her legs could be bent so now she can stand up on her own! Her owner was pleased! :)

Been a busy week with repairs!
1. Minor repairs, spot cleaning & re-stuffing of Plushie.
2. Theo needed a few repairs, spa treatment & re-stuffing.
3. Rabbie needed a lot of hand sewing. Started with removal of old stuffing & followed by a spa treatment. One foot & two hand pads needed replacing. Yellow arm patch replaced & belly patch re-stitched. Front teeth replaced. Eyes & white surrounds replaced. Finished up with new stuffing.
Theo & Rabbie were re-united with their very pleased young owners today. Looks like they'll be well loved for quite a few years more! :)

Special request. First time I've made a Memory Bear. Teddy was made from little baby's tiny jumpsuits and weighted to her birth weight (2.3kg). Very happy with the result! :)
