Some foster babies get furious at me for days after a vet visit. It is a betrayal of the trust we've built.
Others get cuddly, for reassurance. There's something about the vet that makes them like me better by way of contrast.
Amazingly, Scallywag's post-vet self is noticeably MORE trusting! Last night he wandered around the room several times, playing with toys and with the other cats and even initiating playtime with (among others) May. Which is significant because I thought he found May and Panda stressful, but apparently not!
It also helped that I was given a huge stack of cat toys yesterday. I sanitised them all and took a couple with me. The triple-layered ball run was an instant hit and YES even Scallywag played with it!
So here's two pics of Scallywag out and about, plus two pics of Mayhem (with accidental purple lighting).
PSST! I took videos of Scallywag playing too, but given my computer's issues it may take a little while before I can share them.

I keep taking photos of Scallywag, as his posture keeps getting more relaxed and comfortable.
Yesterday Scallywag had his second kitten vaccination while sisters Chaos and Ruckus had their first. I put them all in one big container, plus a cardboard box, because I think Scallywag likes them enough to find comfort in them. Sure enough, he dived into the box almost immediately. Then Ruckus went in after him (which I think gave him enough security that he was able to look out of the box rather than facing the wall).
Chaos was pretty calm and curious the whole time. At the vet, I picked up Chaos and Ruckus for the vet easily enough, but to weigh Scallywag I picked him up while he was still in the box, then gently put him back in the main carrier and weighed the box before giving it back to him. So these photos show him between Chaos and Ruckus, silently demanding I give him his box back (which I'd already done of course); in the box looking adorably furious; and hidden behind Ruckus inside the box (with Chaos outside the box).
Ruckus is narrowing his eyes partly to say hello to me and partly to say, "Me? Scared? Nope! See how very very comfortable I am!"

Scallywags' posture is getting more and more relaxed, which is lovely to see. I don't think he's actually asleep in this photo, but he really did fall asleep with me in the room last night.
Today I'll be taking Scallywag for his second and final vaccination, plus Chaos and Ruckus for their first (they needed to recover from cat flu first).
Ugh, computer trouble again. I'll post the photo separately.

Here's Scallywag. The other day Chaos jumped up next to him for a morning s***f and he chirped a greeting at her ("Prrm?") and then immediately began purring! Aww!
And here's Panda seeing me arrive through the window.

This is a surprisingly deep article.

Here's the photos I attempted to share yesterday. They're all Ruckus. Those are very gentle bites, very much a part of licking me (in her tiny mind). Usually I don't allow even gentle bites, but she's shy and I didn't want to scare her off.

My computer, overwhelmed with cat pics & videos, simply refused to post for me this morning, so let's try posting from my phone. These are all super quick portraits taken in the last ten minutes. One each.

OF COURSE Panda and Mayhem charmed everyone at the vet yesterday, including a family in the waiting room. The surgeries went fine and, as expected, the kittens utterly ignored the vet advice to take it easy after surgery and not do major physical exercise. There was wrestling, jumping, and even zoomies.
Panda doesn't have to have gender quarantine anymore, yay!!
Here's everyone except Scallywag; the May and Panda photos are post-operation.
