I gotta be honest, the launch of Ministry of the Mind this week was better than any expectation I had...

The conversations flowed, ideas were shared, pages of my notebook were filled... so nourishing! (I hope I speak for us all)

Starting with the underground arts scene in Cambodia, the conversations went to quantum physics, somatic practices, decision making, climbing Mt Everest, creativity vs knowledge work, cognitive heuristics and biases and so much more! It was a conscious, cognitive feast for the senses and many of us stayed on longer than scheduled to continue the chat.

Our next session (March 17) is about recognising the triangle (Karpman Triangle) playing out… Can’t wait!

People often talk about doing new things, so the adage 'try something new' becomes a bit beige- but we don't really talk about the effects of doing something new...

With trying new things, we learn so much about ourselves!

We build confidence- and it's funny that as adults we seem to easily forget that confidence doesn't come before we do the thing, it comes after...

We get the opportunity to shake up habits, which creep in all the time because it's the brain's job to create shortcuts- and not every habit is resourceful.

New things keep us sharp, give us options and open up our thinking.

A new thing might simply be changing a pattern of thought- it doesn't have to be a concrete 'thing'.

We literally change (our brains and pathways) as a result of doing something new!

How mind-blowingly cool is that!

We may have changed address, changed outfits, gotten better hoodies... but us PunkPD femmes are rocking it hard.
All over town (in the last week, we've been at the Marion, Rodney's, the Rod Reynold's centre, the innovation centre at 480, ANU, and our brand new office at Kingston...)
It's not where we are, but who we are, and who we are with! (Which is you and you are beyond fu***ng awesome).
And wherever we are, we can pull a mean selfie that would rivel the troutiest of pouts! It's the Punk Pout!

Love this line: when you really think about it, from the perspective of death, most of life is just stand up comedy.

Happy New Year Rebels, Punks, Creatives and generally bloody awesome humans!

Guess what a break means to me? More time to reflect, think and create!

What started as creating 3 new programs ended up being 8!!! My brain couldn't stop thinking, categorising, analysing and unpacking all the common themes and feedback and experiences I've recently heard.

I loved every second and I hope your break was also spent doing whatever it is that makes you happy and fulfilled!

Thanks to my awesome cuz for his killer tune!
