One of the most anxious things parents can do is leave their children with someone new, and it's completely okay to feel that way. Here at Nanny Manny Poppins is how I support families with that anxiety. From my experience, it's the small things that make the biggest difference. The second point I have seen myself.

Not every carer needs to be the loud, high-energy one in the room. Not all care looks the same, and that's okay. At Nanny Manny Poppins, I take the time to make sure it's the right match so that the child and family get the best support possible. Does that take time? Yes. But it's worth it, and it's what I pride myself on most. At Nanny Manny Poppins.
The small moments matter most. I get asked often why I started the business or why I don't do something easier, because I know what it's like to not have family support around. I found something that I enjoy, and I love that I can support other families. Sometimes it's the joy of hearing how much fun a kid had or seeing them be themselves, or knowing that parents got a much-needed break or were able to go to work.
The best part of my job is honestly this. It makes it all worth it and is what my business is all about.

I love all of these so much I decided to have them framed because they are all a part of me and my business. For me, it's about growth as a person and in business, and the recognition that what I've chosen to do matters. It's something that I'm proud to do and a community that I feel connected to.

It was a really fun day from which I learned a lot. I'm excited to grow my skills and career, and also to use them to better support future families. In roles like ours, support isn't just for the child; it's for the whole family. I can't wait to apply what I learned to my work. I found out so much about nutrition and safe sleep, which were my biggest takeaways from today.
