What if you’re not "difficult"? What if you’re just using the wrong manual? 🖼️

Whether you’re a student struggling with study, a professional masking at work, or a parent watching your child fight to stay on track—you know the effort that no one else sees.

You’re working twice as hard as everyone else just to stay at the starting line.

The world might see "distractibility" or "procrastination," but the truth is much deeper: You are a high-performance engine forced to run in stop-start city traffic. You are constantly stalling, constantly restarting, and constantly wondering why everyone else seems to glide along effortlessly.

The Insight:
You don't need to be "fixed." You need a manual that actually fits the blueprint you were born with. 🛠️

When we understand the why behind the struggle, we can stop the willpower battles and start building the scaffolding we need to actually shine.

💡 If this lands, save this post for the next time you feel like you're "failing" at being normal. You aren't failing; you're just differently wired.

Read the full reframe here: "ADHD: It’s Not Just a Label — It’s a Blueprint."

ADHD: It’s Not Just a Label—It’s a Blueprint. 19/02/2026

You (and your family) are not "broken" versions of neurotypical people. 📜

For over a century, the world has used an "Old Manual" for ADHD. It focused on "deficits," "disorders," and "behavioural problems."

If you’re using that manual, every forgotten appointment, every messy bedroom, and every missed deadline feels like a personal failure.

But here is the reframe:
You aren't a failed Toyota Corolla. You are a Ferrari engine in a school zone. 🏎️💨

The problem isn't the engine; it's the environment. You’ve been trying to run a high-performance, interest-based blueprint on instructions designed for a completely different machine.

📖 I’ve written a deep-dive blog to help you reclaim the narrative for yourself and your family: "ADHD: It’s Not Just a Label — It’s a Blueprint."

💬 I’m curious: Which "Old Manual" label has been the hardest for you or your family to unlearn?
Is it "Lazy," "Space Cadet," or "Just Difficult"? Let me know in the comments. 👇

ADHD: It’s Not Just a Label—It’s a Blueprint. Have you ever sat down to start a task—something simple, like answering an email or clearing a desk—and felt an actual, physical resistance to it? It's like trying to push two magnets together that just want to repel. You know you should do it, you know how to do it, but your brain is effectivel...

17/02/2026

Ever feel like there’s an invisible forcefield between you and a "simple" task? 🧲

It doesn’t matter if you’re a student facing an essay, a professional staring at a spreadsheet, or a parent trying to get the family out the door.

When your brain says "No," it isn't a lack of willpower. It’s chemistry.

The ADHD brain is "Dopamine-First." It needs a surge of interest, novelty, or urgency to "fund" the engine. Without that fuel, you’re revving in neutral.

🛠️ The MayDay Hack: Name It to Tame It
Next time you feel that "magnetic resistance," stop the self-blame and say it out loud:

"My brain is struggling to fund this task right now."

Shifting from "I’m lazy" to "My brain needs fuel" immediately lowers the stress and lets you look for a workaround instead of a willpower battle.

💬 Does this "forcefield" show up in your house or your office? Tell us where you feel it most.

Welcome to the "Blueprint" Month at MayDay ADHD. 🧭

For too long, the world has handed us an "Old Manual" for ADHD—one filled with words like deficit, disorder, and dysfunction.

If you’ve been trying to build a life using that manual, it’s no wonder you’re exhausted. It’s like trying to fix a Ferrari with a lawnmower handbook.

This month, we are throwing away the old manual.

We are starting a 4-week deep dive into your ADHD Blueprint. We’re moving past the labels and looking at how your high-performance, dopamine-first engine actually works.

📖 Step 1: Read the Foundation.
I’ve just released a massive new resource: "ADHD: It’s Not Just a Label — It’s a Blueprint." It covers the history, the neurology, and the reframe you’ve been waiting for.

👥 Step 2: Join the Conversation.

Introducing: The Brain Quest 🧭

For years, I've been running live workshops. But here's the truth: workshops don't work well for ADHD brains.

Time blindness, overcommitment, and "I forgot it was today" meant that the people who needed it most couldn't show up.

So I'm building something new: The MayDay Quest Series.

✨ Self-paced learning (no "you have to be there at 4pm" pressure)
🧭 Bite-sized modules designed for Interest-Based brains
🗺️ A 1:1 Strategy Session with me to turn knowledge into YOUR action plan

The first Quest? The Brain Quest. Because understanding how your engine works is the foundation for everything else.

Status: In progress. Coming soon.

If you want to be the first to know when it opens, drop a 🧭 in the comments and I'll add you to the list!

Is it "Lazy" or just "Interest-Based"? 🧭

Most people follow a compass of IMPORTANCE. The ADHD brain follows a compass of INTEREST.

If it’s not Interesting, Novel, Challenging, or Urgent... the engine won't start.

The Shift: Stop trying to be "Important." Start making it "Interesting."

Which way is your compass pointing today? 👇
