Sandra complained about her COVID vaccine injury, she says Services Australia then threatened her 02/04/2026

These are real people. These are real Australians. These are people who are being treated with such enormous distain by the government that promised to provide a safety net. It brings me such enormous grief to hear these stories told over and over again. It makes me so angry when I hear their voices being ignored. Shame on you Australian government. Shame on you Services Australia.

Sandra complained about her COVID vaccine injury, she says Services Australia then threatened her For years these vaccine-injured Australians have been trying to get compensation from a 'torturous' government compensation scheme.

COVERSE has just submitted to the USA Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices, ahead of an upcoming meeting within the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The reason this was important is that the Australian case study offers one of the clearest national data sets of COVID-19 vaccine reactions. Australian states had zero or near-zero community transmission when vaccine rollouts commenced, enabling unusual clarity around adverse events, in clear timelines, via both clinical data and patient experiences.

The ACIP agenda includes discussion of COVID-19 vaccine injuries, Long-COVID, and vaccine recommendation methodologies, issues that shape clinical guidance and safety monitoring in the United States, with global implications.

Secondly, this was important because Australia is heavily influenced by U.S. regulatory systems. Most vaccine manufacturers are U.S.-domiciled, meaning U.S. clinical trials, approvals and safety monitoring directly affect outcomes here.

By comparison, however, Australia has no active national research program investigating COVID-19 vaccine injury following the cancellation of the QoVAX study, and injured Australians face a far more limited compensation pathway than citizens in many other countries.

COVERSE will continue to support sincere international bipartisan efforts to address overdue scientific attention, pharmacovigilance improvements and regulatory reforms required for stronger vaccine safety measures, and renewed trust in public health.

This equates with my experience. Fortunately I was tested early so could start trying treatments within the first year of vax injury. Despite trialling lots of therapies and medications, the symptoms of dysautonomia are consistent and can be extremely debilitating. It is encouraging to see research that supports what the vax injured community already know.

A new study in the Journal of Neurology reviewed 120 people who developed significant autonomic symptoms shortly after a COVID-19 infection or vaccination. After full autonomic testing, POTS was identified as the most common cardiovascular autonomic disorder in both groups, mirroring the lived experience of many patients supported by COVERSE.

The study found that around 60% of newly diagnosed patients showed improvement over several months. Those who improved were typically supported with a multimodal care approach, including increased fluids and salt, use of compression garments, and very gradual physical reconditioning (often starting with recumbent or semi-recumbent exercise). About a third also received medications such as beta-blockers, midodrine or fludrocortisone, used selectively when symptoms were more severe.

Despite these interventions, complete recovery was uncommon, and many continued to experience persistent symptoms such as fatigue, cognitive dysfunction and headaches.

This research reinforces several key points:
1. POTS can occur after infection or vaccination.
2. Proper autonomic testing is essential for accurate diagnosis.
3. Evidence-based care can meaningfully reduce symptoms.
4. Full recovery remains rare, highlighting the need for long-term support and recognition.
