Also a big thnx to Callan for editing a little BTS for us!

It’s happening - We’re inviting industry to come join us in our new studio for the 2025 Screen Futures Symposium!

Join us for a student-led event and a morning of insight, inspiration, and connection in our new state of the art TV studio. Hear from leading industry voices from Screen Canberra, ABC, AFTRS, WildBear, the ACS, NFSA and more.

Be involved in robust discussions about how to equip the next generation of creatives with the skills we need for the future!

Be at CIT Woden from 8:30, have a coffee before we start at 9!

The first panel - “The Skills Landscape: What the Industry Needs Right Now” - will be moderated by Holly Trueman from Screen Canberra, featuring conversation with Michael Tear, Felicity Packard, Greg Nelson, Shannon McClinton-Wilson, and Dan Sweetapple.

Expect a candid discussion on graduate readiness, industry etiquette, and adaptability.

After a break to chat and caffeinate, we’ll have our education focused panel.
Panel 2: “Training for Tomorrow: Building Future-Ready Creatives” will be moderated by Shaun Haidon, College Director at CIT, with guests Krista Jordan (AFTRS), Zhenshi van der Klooster (CIT), Bella Wood (ABC alumna), Mia Channing (LCA winner), Julian Knowles (UC), and Hannah deFeyter (NFSA). Discover how education and industry can bridge today’s skills gaps.

Then you’ll hear a little wrap up from me - I’ll be brief, promise - then we can explore the studio and catchup!

Be sure to bring your questions for the panel and I look forward to seeing you there!

A little sneak peek of the…

FIRST EVER LIVE MUSIC TV SHOOT AT WODEN CIT

we used to call this show Live @ L block (iykyk)… modeled on the famous live at abbey road series. But that was at Reid campus… so we need a new name!

The studio is located in A block on level 4 in our new campus - so we’d love some suggestions - and yours in the comments!

More to come - but here are a couple of pics…
