What a day celebrating this year’s Book Week theme, “Symphony of Stories” — a celebration of how all our different voices and stories come together, just like instruments in an orchestra.

Our kids came dressed as their favourite book characters, and the energy in the school today was pure magic. A huge highlight — Miss Brown came and read Oi Frog to the Kookaburras, and the giggles could be heard across the school.

Book Week is always such a special reminder of why we do what we do — building a love of reading, one story at a time.

Today the Kookaburras stepped back in time as part of our Inquiry unit and became archaeologists, conducting our very own archaeological dig! With careful hands, curious minds and plenty of excitement, the students uncovered a collection of incredible ancient artefacts, including gemstones, ancient rocks, a dinosaur fossil and even a pharaoh!

The students carefully excavated their discoveries, examined their artefacts and imagined the stories they might tell about the past. What an exciting way to bring history to life!

Who knows what the Kookaburras will discover next?

Today, our students brightened up the school by wearing yellow and bright clothing and bringing a gold coin donation to support the Kids of Macarthur Health Foundation. Thank you to everyone who took part and contributed to this important cause.

Happy National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!

What better excuse to bring a little fun into writing? Yesterday, our students put their procedural writing skills into action by writing how to make the perfect chocolate chip cookies.

Learning is always a little sweeter when it connects to something students love!

100 days of Kindergarten!

What an achievement!!!!! Students showed off their imitation of elderly people and at ate yummy cupcakes with their peers in Grammar. In the classroom, students made 100 days of kindergarten bracelets and thought about what they would like to be when they grow up. May have some nurses and professional soccer players in the future.

This term, the Kookaburras worked together towards a shared goal of earning more points than their teachers to win the opportunity to build their own birdhouses. Throughout the term, every student demonstrated respectful and safe behaviour, showed resilience in their learning, and worked hard to contribute to our class success.

By earning over 60 points, the Kookaburras achieved their goal! To celebrate, each student designed a personalised birdhouse before spending a fun-filled afternoon painting and decorating it. We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, perseverance and positive attitudes the Kookaburras displayed throughout the term, and their finished birdhouses were a wonderful reflection of their creativity.

This week we celebrate NAIDOC Week and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The 2026 theme, “50 Years of Deadly”, honours five decades of celebrating the strength, resilience, leadership and contributions of First Nations communities across Australia. ❤️💛🖤

Just like the Galahs' puzzle, Australia’s story is incomplete when pieces are missing.

May this week be an opportunity to listen, learn, reflect and celebrate the world’s oldest continuing cultures. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land. 🖤💛❤️

The Kookaburras had a fantastic day exploring the Australian Museum! We discovered sparkling gemstones and minerals, fascinating dinosaur fossils, ancient ammonites, insects and bugs, a variety of animals, and many beautiful birds. One of the highlights was getting to touch and investigate different rocks and gems. We got to read about and explore artefacts and objects that Indigenous Australians have used and discover their totems in different areas. It was a fun and engaging day full of hands-on learning and new discoveries!

What a wonderful day at our Primary Athletics Carnival!

Our students showed determination, resilience and great sportsmanship as they competed in a range of track and field events. We celebrated personal bests, records being broken and many exciting milestones.

A special congratulations to Zaley and Samuel for taking on the challenging 1500m event, while Skye and Chester proudly tested their endurance in the 800m.
