🔦 CEPS SPOTLIGHT 🔦

3/4Y took their Mathematics learning outdoors as they explored the concepts of volume and capacity. Students enjoyed investigating and comparing how much water different containers could hold, making predictions and testing their ideas through hands-on experiences. It was wonderful to see students actively engaged, working collaboratively and developing their understanding through practical learning. What an exciting and meaningful way to bring Mathematics to life! 💧📏🌟

Please help us to keep our kids safe.

You may have noticed the new signs in front of the school. These signs are to improve traffic flow and allow children to exit and enter the school safely.

The "Stop and Drop" "Kiss and Drop" parking exists from the beginning of the bus zone to the telegraph pole past the main gate. You have a maximum of 2 minutes to pick up and drop off your child. Drivers must stay within 3 metres of their vehicle. Under no circumstances are you able to park and go into the school to attend the office or see a teacher whilst parked in the "KIss and Drop" area. If you need to do these things please find legal parking around the local area and walk into the school.

We understand that afternoons at 3.00pm are very busy so these zones are very important to improve Safety and Traffic Flow.

These zones revert to normal parking at all other time but between 8.00am and 9.30am and 2.30pm and 4.00pm they are NO PARKING and carry the same fines as any No Parking area. These fines are high and as a community we don't want to see anyone burdened with fines in these tight economic times.

Thanking you in advance. We look forward to improving the safety at our school.

🔦 CEPS SPOTLIGHT 🔦

In 1-3M our Living Skills lessons provide students with meaningful opportunities to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills in a supportive and engaging environment. Through hands-on experiences such as planning and shopping for ingredients, preparing simple meals and learning how to clean and care for shared spaces, students build practical skills they can use in everyday life. These activities also encourage communication, teamwork, problem-solving and decision-making, while fostering a sense of responsibility and pride in their achievements. It is wonderful to see our students enthusiastically embracing new experiences and celebrating their growing independence.

🔦 CEPS SPOTLIGHT 🔦

5/6W have been developing their data and digital technology skills by collecting, analysing and presenting data using their iPads.

Students worked collaboratively to gather information, organise their findings and create a range of digital graphs to clearly display their results. Through this process, they learned how different graph types can be used to represent data and communicate information effectively to an audience.

This activity challenged students to think critically about the data they collected and draw meaningful conclusions from their findings. We were impressed by the care, accuracy and creativity students demonstrated when presenting their work.

Well done, 5/6W, on your excellent use of technology and your commitment to producing high-quality work!
